very unique
I like the shape, doesn't look like any other stove. Not difficult to install, instructions are clear. Works very well. Strong burners and safe knobs. Safe for children and for grownups who might sometimes forget to shut it off.

Changed to 5 stars!
I orginally gave this product review 2 stars. But after inquiring about the defected power board disabling the igniter (we were using a match to light) 6 weeks later i recieved a new power board. Once reassembling, and properly working, the stove has been a wonderful AND BEAUTIFUL addition to our kitchen. The size allows for multiple pots and pans to be used without comibg into cintact with each other. It has also been an easy to clean addition. I attached a photo of the small piece that originally gave me the trouble.

Know What You are Getting
When our electric cooktop top shattered by a dropped bowl, I replaced it with this gas cooktop. A couple of issues:1. The gas cooktop dimensions covered the hole in the counter, but were a little shorter in width and length than old electric cooktop. I had to add a wood frame underneath to keep the cooktop centered and from falling through if pushed too far to one side.2. The cast iron grates sit high which reduces the dimension from the top of a pot on the stove to the microwave and exhaust fan above. Check the minimum dimensions for your microwave and exhaust fan to make sure you have enough clearance. Ours was 18", barely enough.3. Burners come in different sizes with a small one and big one one the front, and 2 medium size on the back, and largest burner in the center. I would prefer the 2 medium size burners to be on the front since we use them the most.4. The control knobs are on the front that makes the burners further away from a person standing. I would prefer the control knobs on the side allowing the burners to be closer to the front.5. Control knobs are small and round. To light you have to push down, hold, and turn until igniter lights the flame, and has enough heat to stay lit. I would prefer larger knobs.6. If knob is held too short of a time, or somehow the flame goes out, gas will turn off.7. Out of the box, the cooktop is set for natural gas. If you want to use with propane, the propane orifices are included. The cooktop also has a gas regulator, that has a natural gas setting and propane. You have to unscrew the diagram spring cover and flip the spring cover over so the N is down, and P is up. This takes a little knowledge and skill to make sure this is done right.8. The gas control knob does not have enough range of control. The flame tends to be high even on the smallest burner at the minumum setting. Certain sauces have to be constantly stirred so the don't burn and stick to the bottom of the pot.9. The cooktop is made in China, not Italy. With all this said, the gas cooktop is well made and reliable. When you clean the cooktop, there a lot of parts to remove. Be careful not to drop the cast iron grates, they would likely break.

I think you should get it
Very classy looking, easy to clean, good quality for the price, very reliable so far. Had it for a couple months.

Grate is painted on and came off after 3 weeks
The grate is painted. It came off after 3 weeks. I can only imagine in 2-3 months what it will look like. I can't just buy any grate and put it on. I spent $200 on installation fees. The following is the "top critical review" from Amazon which I have copied and pasted below. Is water down. Amazon should really show reviews that are significant and stop carrying brands like this."I have had problems getting burners to light. Even had one go out in the middle of cooking. I already had to return the first they sent because it was damaged when we opened it. They replaced it quickly without any hassle, but we've had problems since. I just don't feel like dealing with trying to return it, waiting for a new one, having to buy a new gas line... And high, medium, low... it all seems arbitrary with this since nothing is marked.Overall, it's better than the one we had. Much easier to clean (except the black pieces that the flame comes up around) and I love the different sizes, though I would choose a different arrangement of them if I could. It hasn't acted up in awhile, so maybe it just had kinks to work out of it's system?...

Best cooktop!
This was the 3rd. cooktop I've purchased. This is by far the best I have used! I had to widen my mounting hole but well worth it. Temp. controls, pressure, and look are great for my home. I would trust telling anyone about this cooktop!

Good value for the price
I have a Home Remodeling Company business so I tend to know what I'm talking about in this area. This cooktop is a very good value for the money however if you have to pay somebody to install it it lessens the value of a bit.It has no countertop clamps which is very unusual. I siliconed mine to my granite countertop and it's fine but would have preferred some hard clamps on the bottom. Also we've noticed that the circular black burners absorb debris cannot be cleanedMost of the surface area is glass so I'm a little concerned about a dropped pot or pan but so far it looks terrific. All burners ignite and flame pattern is very even all the way across so no problem with cooking. It looks very attractive compared to our old system
