Love this
I love this product. We are able to set a curfew so our cat stays in at night. With the hub we no longer have to manually give her access through the door.I have peace when we are gone knowing she can come in and out.We get notifications when she enters and exits.

Reaches further than expected!
The pet hub is great, I was a bit nervous it wasn't going to reach across my apartment, because it had to be connected to the router in the living room and the feeders are in my bedroom; but it reaches just fine!

Works, for a time
This thing randomly disconnects from my two feeders, can’t really figure out why. There’s no way to reconnect other than to delete the feeder which also deletes all the feeder settings. I’ve had to do this a half dozen times and have only owned this for 4ish months. This time, we had a power outage and now it’s disconnected from both feeders at the same time—usually it’s just 1 or the other that it randomly forgets how to communicate with. It’s like the feeders and the connect are siblings that refuse to get along no matter how many times you try to keep them connected and it’s always an argument about nothing.Oh and firmware? I think it’s pushed from the company because I cannot find anywhere in the app a section to check firmware.I wish I had bought a different brand.

Internet Issues - Surepet MUST fix this
I bought 4 feeders and the hub when my cats all needed different food. My vet wants me to monitor how much they are eating, so this seemed like a game-changer - it was for a couple of years, but in the last year the hub is mostly spending its time trying to connect to Surepet's server. We have called and emailed several times and have to go through silly steps to prove to them that it's not our router or modem (it's not). PLEASE Surepet, fix this. It's hurting your ratings and your business. The feeders will work without the hub, but there's a reason we buy these items - they are expensive but so worth it when the hub works. I've invested a lot of money in this product and you need to keep me happy!

Safety for my puppies
Love the phone app and the notifications to keep my puppies safe!!They just need to make the notification sound to add a puppy dog, and make the font a bit bigger - that is all :-)

I like this, but it's a little behind the times
I haven't ran into any of the issues some of the other reviews have had after about a week with this product. My only issue with this product is that you are required to connect to your router using an ethernet cable. It seems a little ridiculous that this product which is $70 cannot connect over WiFi. In a world where we have things like video game consoles and televisions that could use an ethernet connection for an ideal internet speed, it seems a little ridiculous that one of those precious ethernet ports has to be taken up by a cat feeder hub. However, the range is good enough that it still connects to my feeders downstairs.

Overpriced, needed tech support to fix things on their end to get it to work.
We've had a feeder for years and recently bought another feeder. As we're trying to configure it we realize that unlike the old feeders there's a bunch of settings that you can only do via the app. So that was the first ridiculous piece, a newer more expensive feeder requires you to spend another $80 just to get the same functionality.Got the feeder and like a bunch of other people commenting I couldn't get the app to connect to the hub. Contacted customer support and things got more interesting here. From the first request they asked for a bunch of info, one of them being the email used in the app which turned out to be part of the problem. So the first problem was that the hub had pairing turned off. No idea how this happened but it was something that apparently could only be fixed remotely by CS. Still not working after that so a few more emails later we they're asking for the email info again. Turns out that the hub had been previously registered to a different account and because it didn't match the app it just didn't connect. This is info that the app could have displayed and then tell me to do a factory reset (presuming that's even an option) and save both me and the CS folks some time. Note that was also something that they reset remotely so that's now two things that you can't fix on your end... I'm guessing that someone hit similar issues at some point and returned the unit and that's the unit I ended up with.In conclusion, this is an overpriced device and while once everything goes right it works as intended (so far) it was way more involved to setup than needed.
