It worked for my washer drain.
Worked great for my washer drain. It could be improved upon if it were a little longer.

Unable to get around a p-trap (so far!). Though limited, it still mostly did what I needed.
My bathroom sinks have the "no tools needed" type of p-trap drain, so the inside of the pipe has a small lip on which rests a rubber o-ring to seal the pipe once it's screwed together. This lip allows for soap scum and toothpaste residue to build up till the drain runs slow. In the past I've taken the trap apart to clean it out. Not a difficult task, though time consuming and a little messy.I bought this in hopes of cleaning out the drain without needing to do disassembly. The pros:I was able to fit both of the brush sizes down into the drain without removing the drain stop.I was able to knock enough of the buildup loose that the water drains much better (still slowly back-fills, but pleateaus quickly). The cons:The brush itself is too stiff for the spring 'handle' to force it around the bend in the p-trap, limiting it's functionality. I have not tried putting a small bend in the brushes yet, but will do so.

HVAC Drain line cleaning and sinks
Pretty straight forward device, but I purchased this bursh/spring cleaner to help when my HVAC drain line gets clogged up. I needed something that had a pipe brush, was strong enough not to break if a blockage was hit, was long enough to go through roughly a 2 feet of PVC pipe and was flexible. This product checked all those boxes and I've used it several times now over the last year.I've seen others mention they used this for cleaning drains as well. I've tried this in limited capacity by cleaning drain in the shower so its definitely multiple purpose.

Flimsy
Don't bother with teh lighter-weight version. Get the one with the "stronger spring". Trying to clean my dishwasher air gap drain hose, the lighter weight brush got stuck in the curve and the spring wasn't stiff enough to push through. The spring is now bent and useless.

Dishwasher drain clean!
Best $9 I spent in a while. Cleaned the corrugated dishwasher hose up really well. Put it in about 6" at a time and work it in and out, twisting every now and then. Feed it in another 6" and repeat. As you pull it out do 6" at a time and all the mold will come out.

It works
Just what I needed

Works but needs to be modified for 90 degrees
I used this to clean out a 1" HVAC drain line. It will not handle a 90 degree elbow unless you cut the brush by around 2/3. Once you do that it can make the turn.
