Purina Tidy Cats Free and Clean Unscented Cat Litter - 38 lb. Box

This is a great litter, especially for a home that has 4 cats (or more ) however ... as I discovered in a recent purchase, the big box it comes in is hard to carry into the house or even the garage unless you can pick it up and carry or wheel it into the building ( oh and are very strong!!) - the buckets are easier, even tho still heavy.. having the bucket with handle is much easier to bring into the home.

Now that I am forced to house a litter box in the living room of my somewhat small apartment, I wanted an unscented clay litter so that the smell does not affect the rest of the living room. This pretty much solved the issue of scent, and I probably did my cat a favor (if scented litter smells strong to me, it must be even worse for my cat).It absorbs urine just as well as my previous litter, there are no issues with the droppings smelling up my living room despite this being unscented, and isn't that much more expensive than the arm and hammer stuff I was using before (It does still create a decent amount of dust and my cat still tracks it outside of the litter box, though).

This is our go to kitty litter. We have tried other brands and always come back to this one. Firstly, we appreciate that it’s unscented as the ones either fragrance aren’t good for cat’s respiratory systems. We clean our boxes every day and this litter keeps odor to a very minimum. There are no strange smells and our house never smells like a litter box. Our cats love it too! It forms tight clumps and is easy to clean. The price point is great too. It’s less expensive than some of the other ‘fancy’ litters we have tried and it works better too. I will say that it is a little dusty but that’s to be expected.

Have only used this brand from the beginning of rescuing kittens years ago.It does still throw dust and it will get all over everything.Keeps smells at bay.Good clumping and pretty easy to scoop.Will not use any litter that has a scent.Still gets tracked throughout the house even with several large litter capturing mats right at the box.My biggest issue is the box.My gosh!!It is super heavy for a woman to pick up and pour.NO HANDLES to grip the box.Hence the reason of a 4 star review.Other than that, I will continue to use this brand and no scent.

Fantastic litter if you use it properly. I see folks saying it is sticky…if you have litter sticking to your cat box then you are not using enough litter. Think of a sandbox…need to be able to dig. I put about at least 4 inches in the box and have had no problems with scooping. And I have multiple cats. Nice hard round clumps that easily scoop. Odor control is fantastic but I scoop in the morning and again at night. With multiple cats I cannot leave the boxes to sit too long. I love that it clumps quickly and stays solid when scooped. No wasting of litter. If you get the big 38lb box, as I have switched to, then just cut the top enough to flip open and then use a small bowl or feed scoop to put litter in the cat box. This way you don’t have to lift the heavy box each time. All of my cats took to this litter immediately. I tried the pellet litter recently and they all went on strike. This litter is great!

Can't smell a thing when I use this litter! Even if I forget to dump the robot pail and it overflows I cant smell anything. Much better than the Bahama Breeze Tidy cats version, that was just awful at masking the smell of cat urine and poop. I'll never switch from this one!

I'll admit...I was feeling lazy and didn't want to have to run to the very back of the grocery store to see what Tidy Cat version they didn't have in stock. 38lbs is a lot to take a chance on, but I'm a 'stocker' and so I did.Except for the fact that I needed a hand-cart to bring it in the house, I am VERY happy with my purchase! This is TRULY unscented litter...no scent at all. And the order control is fantastic. I have two cats and sometimes you have to wonder what crawled up their butts and died.It works very well, clumps nicely, easy to clean. I simply replace the litter I scoop out and then do a full change once a month.

This is my go-to litter, and it works really well. The clumping is good, it doesn't produce too much dust and it doesn't have a strong scent.On the other hand, it's frustrating that I have a choice between only a 16 pound bag or a 38 pound box. I physically cannot lift the box due to back issues, but I can't set the subscription frequency for the 16 pound bag to one week. It gives me two weeks or longer as an option. I wish there was either a once a week subscription or a middle size between the 16 and 38 pound that would last longer but I could still lift..
