Flimsy item
The wires began to go loose after just a few uses

Love this item, had the cheaper versions before but always ended up throwing them out, went to Germany and used one of these and ordered one as soon as I got home!! Very sturdy and no faffing around trying to get the wires to go through the whole egg.

GREAT GADGET
Originally purchased the WMF egg cutter as it looked a good product. However the wires are too thick to slice an egg properly and it consistently tore the eggs instead of slicing cleaning. I contacted the manufacturer who were sympathetic to my problem but they said if they were to make the wires thinner they would probably break. Not being happy with this outcome I returned it to Amazon and purchased this Leifheit egg slicer instead which so far has proved to be far superior and I would recommend to anyone.
