Been riding motorcycles for years, and never thought to make this modification!
The media could not be loaded. The fact I found this little guy in matching colors for my helmet just makes me all kinds of happy.Super smooth mechanism... shopping much easier to attach your helmet to a backpack to transport or something, and then obviously the ease of taking your helmet off and on.... WITH gloves. 😁As you can see in pictures, it can be added in a fashion which makes it appear as if it was always part of the helmet.Lastly, take a quick look at the picture where I am pointing to the strap buckle... be SURE to double-back the excess strap through there, otherwise the end clip will loosen easily on its own (like when hanging off a backpack).Overall I love it!

Great, but…
This was really easy to install, and really easy to use. It’s way better than having the D ring set up, so it’s well worth it. Literally, my only complaint is that it keeps loosening. I tighten it up and make it fit me, and within a couple of days it’s loose and my chinstrap is hanging super low again. Aside from having to tighten it up and adjust it every few days, it’s great. If anybody has a recommendation on that, that would be great and would make this easily five stars.

Works with gloves
works great. So much easier to clip the helmet strap rather than threading the d-rings.

Works good - NO alterations.
I ordered this one to try as I did not want to have to make any alterations (cut my existing straps) in order to use them - or even to just try them out. The installation is very quick and simple and it works as good as advertised. I love being able to just quickly clip it on and ride now and pull the yellow tab down to remove the strap when finished riding.*I am not reducing a star for this but every few rides, on both my helmet and my daughter's helmet, I must re-tighten the strap down on the male end of the device. I need to try to figure out if there is a better way to get it to remain tight longer, but it's worth noting and the manufacturer should also try to solve. It is still better than not using this device, especially if you check it before a long day of riding.

A must-have for couriers!
I do deliveries on my bike, and not only was fiddling with the D-rings costing me a lot of time, it was also wearing out the straps at an accelerated rate (pretty sure helmet manufacturers don’t plan on people putting their gear on 30+ times a day). So after seeing Shoei trusts a similar clasp on their high-end helmets, I decided to give this a try.Should have done it months ago!The helmet goes on and off so fast now, I was fighting a constant feeling of “Am I forgetting something?” the first few days using it. It manages to be secure enough that the helmet would pull my head off should sufficient force be applied, and yet doesn’t choke me or rub my throat uncomfortably (a common complaint I’ve seen about quick-release buckles, that I was really worried about). I am convinced this is every bit as safe as the factory D-ring setup, and I NEVER trust helmet modifications (won’t even install a GoPro or Bluetooth). The cons? What some people say about the straps slipping is true. BUT… that’s if you follow the directions exactly as presented. I found for my helmet and my straps (Shoei RF-SR) threading the long strap so the tail is on the bottom, closest to your neck, rather than the top, virtually eliminated any slipping. Also be sure to check the direction the slide buckle is installed; just reversing that can have a big impact.Oh, and I agree with the one other person in that I wish the pull-cord was a different color. SERIOUSLY tiny nitpick, but it’s there. If you’re on and off your bike a lot, you owe it to yourself to get one of these!

Good quality product for certain helmets
If you’re looking for quick release, this is a good one. But only for certain helmets! Will not work for full face helmets, or any helmet that has a short strap connection. If the helmet strap cushions(1-2” long pads that prevent strap rubbing) can basically touch each other when helmet is off, you won’t have enough distance for quick release to fit properly. I tightened it all the way up, to an impractical amount, and it still would’ve been too loose to work along with the metal release digging into my neck.
