I bought this monitor because I work remotely and currently living on a boat. This monitor is super compact, comes with a nice quality sleeve and all the cables necessary to connect via HDMI or display over USB-C. I am connecting USB-C with my MacBook pro and love that I do not need to power the monitor separately. The resolution is good, I am able to use it for all my work needs and used it to watch a movie last night. The setup process was a breeze - just plug it in and you're up and running!

I was traveling for a week but needed to work. Spending a week looking at my 13" laptop seemed like a terrible idea. I started looking for portable screens so I could have two screens to work from and found the VisionOwl 18.5" portable monitor. It arrived quickly and came with a nice padded case, two USB-C cables, and a USB-C plug adapter. My Surface Pro recognized the screen immediately making setup a breeze. The screen can be powered by the computer with a single cable, but brightness is much better when the second cable provides power from an outlet. I'm thoroughly impressed with the quality of this monitor. It comes with a 2-year warranty after registration, and the company offered a free gift after registration. I selected a portable stand thinking it was plastic, but what arrived was a very nice aluminum stand. Super happy I went with this model. It is a little big for travel, but perfect once you get there.

This screen works really well and, best of all, is very easy to use.One thing to look for: There's a brightness button on the bottom right, external part of the monitor. Make sure that is not toggled all the way to dim.The screen is really great quality. Even my tech-obsessed tween is excited and impressed with it. I use it with my MacBook Air so I can do work at the kitchen table, mostly reviewing documents and writing, and online research. But it would be great for watching movies or even gaming. It works great with several windows open. It is sleek, with a sensible stand that folds down. It's light and would be very easy to travel with.I had a previous issue where I complained that I couldn't get it to work. Customer service looked at my review photo, and noticed that I did not have the power cord fully plugged in to the port. Oops! They were very polite about it and were very prompt in notifying me.The company has longer power cords available in case the cord is too short. It can work off a laptop's battery power too, but then of course you'd need to refuel the laptop battery.Bottom line: Great quality monitor, especially for the price; very easy to use, no bad surprises, sensible and high quality, and excellent and trustworthy customer service.
