C.O. Bigelow Shaving Cream for Men, Premium Shave Cream, 5.2 Oz. with Eucalytpus & Coconut Oil to Protect Against Razor Burn and Irritation, For All Skin Types

I started wet shaving about a year ago and have tried numerous software and hardware products and use both DE & SE razors. This is apparently made by or owned by Proraso which I love. The Bigelow shave cream has a wonderful scent and a mildly “cooling” effect. I’m sure you could use it without a brush but I use a shave brush and have done bowl and face lathers with Bigelow, both of which have given me a beautiful thick and protective lather. If you want something that is no fuss and you can just use a quarter size amount or less to make a great 2-3 pass shave, then this is a quality product. This should last me at least 6 months of shaving daily. Made in Italy. The photo is from my shave den I just cropped it to focus on the actual shave cream tube. In the winter months I run the tube under hot water and let it sit in the sink of hot water for a few while I prep everything else. This makes for a comfortable shave. I highly recommend keeping a tube of Bigelow and/or Proraso on hand! Enjoy.

I'm a safety razor user, and I cut easily. This is probably the best shaving cream I have used thus far. It's very thick and sort of fatty, which works well to give you more glide and reduce irritation. I've not yet tried to whip it up with a bowl and brush. Instead, I just leave my face wet and apply with my hands so it stays fairly thick. I notice a definite improvement in how my razor feels when using this over using the canned gel-type products. It is similar to Poraso, but I feel it is just a bit better, at least for my face. YMMV.One tip is that if you don't have enough water mixed in, the thickness might clog your razor, and you'll need extra hot water to clean the blade. I find that if my hands or face are not very wet when I smooth this on, that is what happens. This aside, I love this shaving cream. I'm getting closer shaves and bleeding less. A win in my book! For me, Bigelow has set a new bar by which all others must be judged.

The media could not be loaded. Of the various premium anhave creams and soaps I’ve tried over the years, the Proraso/Bigelow cream has always been a staple. I love it for its low cost and availability, as well as the effortless full lather it creates, with refreshingly minty eucalyptus scents. The cooling sensation always leaves my face feeling clean and fresh. A quality badger brush is a must, but it generates a thick fluffy lather with minimal effort. I usually just lather in my palm. An almond sized dollop of the cream goes a long way, and I find these tubes last a very long time. I do not shave daily, but find a tube lasts me over a year. Between the Bigelow cream on the brush, and Derby Extra’s in the razor, it’s about as affordable as it gets for a quality shave.

This is the Best Shave Cream. The tube stores easily and keeps the cream fresh. Great smell and lubrication.Proraso does make this for C.O. Bigelow, but it has one added ingredient (Butyrospermum parkii butter). Shea Butter is what that happens to be. It does make a difference. Ingredients are now listed not only on the box, but on the tube of cream. Love the look of the packaging ! Just a Good, Fun and effective product.

This is my new favorite shaving cream. As a bald man, this is great for head shaving, very slick and causes no irritation. The best part is the smell, it’s sooo good.

This stuff is amazing! I have been using another popular brand for a while. I didn't know what I was missing. This cream goes on easy, is very slick and gives you a very close shave. Very happy.

Overall, this is a great product. I use a very small dab in my brush and get tons of lather. It is very lubricating, great for a two-pass shave. It has a somewhat medicinal scent, but it rinses clean. A tube will last a very long time. My only wish is that I got a bit more of a menthol cooling feel. Other than that, this is a great product.
