The Golden Book of Chemistry Experiments

A dream come true. I as given this book in elementary school - before it got banned. It has been a treasured possession that I have used as a guide, reference, teaching aid up to present day. Its presentation of Chemistry is clear and precise, so much so that I have used it in my role as a designated expert, consultant and corporate SME. It shows its age via the outrageous and risky experiments that it invites young chemists to perform. It makes Chemistry a contact sport. This new edition is only slightly smaller but complete and every bit as beautiful as the original.

I bought this book after reading Radioactive Boy Scout. I have a BS and a MS in Chemical Engineering. My wife has post grad degrees in Physics and Mathematics. I bought this book to ease her into Chemistry. It’s full of great information and many simple experiments. One end of our hobby room looks like a mad scientist is at large. Recommended.

I love chemistry & wish this book was presented to me when I was in late grade school to early high school. The illustrations & examples are fantastic to start your own lab at home. Be aware, some of the experiments are dangerous & should be thoroughly researched before attempting them. This will be one of the many books that I share with my children to give them an understanding of basic chemistry.

Had this book when I was 10. I'm 74 now and its a treat to see this book in hard copy. A blast from the past!

A good study resource, but a bit pricey.
