I've had a Lenovo TS140 server system for a few years now, and noticed that I often push the 8 GB memory limit wall, and that slows system performance down a bit. So, I bought two new 8 GB KVR16E11/8 DDR3 ECC memory DIMMs ($42.07/ea) that would double my system memory capacity to 16 GB. It took 8 days for the DIMMs to arrive, and what I received were KVR16E11/8EF DIMMs. No problem. The basic difference is that the /8 uses 2.9 watts of power, and the /8EF uses 2.3 watts of power (i.e. less power) but are otherwise quite compatible. Installation went quite smooth and the system just started up without any problems at all. The original Samsung DIMMs were 1200 MHz, and the replacement KTC DIMMs are 1600 MHz, so performance may (will) increase also.Update: Interestingly enough, after a few days of operation, I notice that performance has increased, and also, largely because of the increase in memory speed and capacity, CPU usage has also decreased. The system seems more efficient.I have noticed that when tracking system memory usage, there are times when the system uses over 10 GB of main memory, and that shows me that my decision to upgrade the system memory was a good one. 8 GB was simply not enough for the applications I run daily.

I bought a pair of these modules to use on an ASUS AM3+ motherboard with an 8 core FX-8320E processor.They worked perfectly giving me 16G of ECC memory for a real bargain price.I am happy with the ease of use, performance and reliability of this modules

There isn't a lot you can say about RAM; it either works or it doesn't. Kingston is my go-to brand for medium-performance system builds, and it has yet to disappoint. Reasonably priced with a lifetime warranty, and they make, and make readily available, less-common configurations like the ECC memory that servers sometimes demand, and that I always seem to need. This latest batch is installed in four servers, all of which are running flawlessly. Five stars.

I upgraded the memory in my Plex media server from 8 to 32 GB and the price for these modules was right on target as I didn't want to break the bank. The memory arrived quickly and everything worked but I was concerned at first over the packaging. The memory was not sent in a box, only a padded envelope and the envelope was left at my front door under heavy boxes of cat litter and cat food by the Amazon delivery driver. I was concerned the memory could have been damaged but after extensive testing it all worked well. The memory is great, the price was right, and shipping was fast, but I took off a star for the packaging. I would have preferred the memory to have been shipped in a box to offer better protection.

Worked right out of the package, Immediately recognised. Turned onthe computer and within 2 minutes ccomputer had booted up and works fine , no problems, It's a heck of a lot faster. Shipping was fast and had the ebstb price around. I was about to reorder and notice a $10.00 increase for Black Friday from $83.00...not good! Prices are supposed to go DOWN noy up.

The picture and the product was not really the same, but the product was the same either way. Everything works as expected, fast delivery to other side of the globe. Thanks :)

Can confirm that ECC ram does in fact work on the following rig:HP Z220 CMT motherboard with a Xeon CPU E3-1240 V2 windows 7 64 bit OS.To test ECC status, I opened CMD and typed "wmic memphysical get memoryerrorcorrection" without the quotes.I received a return value of "5" without the quotes.that means that OS picked up this ram as Single-bit ECC.Awesome ECC ram, will buy again

Threw four of these into an HP Z1 workstation -- worked perfectly right away.
