Great bit of kit
Best oiler ever. Something to leave to the kids in your will 👍

Works perfectly
Works well with no leaks unlike cheaper cans I've bought elsewhere, perfect for general oiling or using on machine tools with the small push button type oilers. Some reviews mention the seal at the top of the can and it squeezing out when the can is filled and the pump is refitted. Mine is spot on, either they've changed the material to a harder rubber or the other reviewers were putting the top back on with way too much force.

The world's best oilcan
Although this is quite expensive for an oilcan, it is the best one you will ever buy. It is very well designed and engineered and will work in any position, even upside down. It does not leak either! I have had one for about 25 years and bought one recently for a friend of mine. The design has not changed in all that time so it must be as near perfect as makes no difference!

Very slow to dispatch
Finally arrived after several weeks and seems to work well.

Apalling quality of design & materials now renders it useless!
Having used reilang oilers for over 30 years, their latest cost-cutting has rendered the two I bought recently fit for the scrap bin. The change of body seal has been mentioned before - the soft square seal simply pushes out of place when the lid is only slightly tightened, so no use. I can find an o-ring to replace it, however, the pump action is now so bad, the actuating rod keeps falling out of the registration hole in the handle. We've tried for a couple of months to use them but have now given up - they're far too expensive for this sort of experience!

Gold standard no more
This product is an oil can, so I used it to keep oil in. Specifically, 3-in-1 oil.I bought the oil can from Amazon UK in August 2019. After 18 months of occasional use I found that it leaked at the joint between the cap and the reservoir. When I unscrewed the cap, the rubber ring (not an O-ring, the design has recently been changed to a square-section ring, if that makes sense) had stretched and softened. I wrote a nice email to the manufacturers asking for a replacement, but my message – written in good Swiss French – was ignored.I don’t know why the 0-ring design was changed. It may have coincided with a change of ownership when Reilang was taken over. But obviously the rubber they now use doesn’t like good old-fashioned 3-in-1. Such a shame, because, as others have noted, the Reilang oilers have been the gold standard for decades.EDIT After writing a second time to Haussmann, the new owner of the Reilang brand, I’ve received a reply. They will send me a replacement sealing washer. Fingers crossed …
