US English Layout Keyboard Cover Compatible with Old MacBook Air 13" (Model A2337/A2179, 2021 & 2020 Release, M1 Chip), Thin 0.18mm, Keyboard Protector Skin Film Membrane

I have been using this for months ( at least 5-6 months) and I couldn’t be happier with it. First, it fits really well. You need to use tiny stickers to place it on the keyboard (and they send you so many!) I only used three stickers - two on the top corners and one on the “space” key, and it has stayed put so far. (If you are a bit anal about fingerprints on the stickers, I recommend using a tweezer.)To be honest, it felt a bit weird to use my keyboard with a cover, but I got used to it in a few days or a week. Right now, I can’t feel even a slight difference. Needless to say, it protects the keyboard very well! Overall, very good value for money and I will definitely repurchase it if the current one wears out.

It is a bit harder to press the keys, but I like that my keyboard doesn't become dirty anymore.

Protects the keyboard really well from food and what-not. For typing, it's not great; best removed for anything important. For casual presses here/there though it's fine.

Covers keys very well, just makes some fast typing a bit more challenging. Nothing has made it passed the protector yet.

Okay, so I can't read. It clearly states this keyboard cover is for the US English keyboard layout, not UK!I have a 2020 MacBook Air and not only did it not fit my layout due to the return key position (as it is the US version) it also didn't fit my top layer of function keys which are more rectangle than square.However, I'm pretty sure I could get away with using this cover if I wanted to. I touch type and with the cover laid on my keyboard, I could still tap away nicely. In fact, the keys are less slippery and it felt pretty nice to type with. It isn't totally transparent but had I read the description properly and had it been the UK version I would have been more than happy with it. I'll definitely use it to cover my keyboard to give it some added protection from those odd sneezes that catch you off guard!

The cover is soft and fits perfectly over the keyboard, and no adhesive is needed (although there are a few glue dots supplied with it, just in case).As this item is listed on Amazon UK, you'd expect it to be designed for the UK model of the Macbook Air, but it's for the US version. Apart from £ and # being in different places, what's different? Well, it turns out that the US keyboard layout has a differently shaped RETURN key and a longer left hand SHIFT key. These differences result in the cover not being a perfect it, but it is very close, and I experienced no problems with using the UK keyboard with a US cover.The cover itself is slightly frosted looking, giving the keys a slightly hazy appearance; it's also ever so lightly textured which I find makes it easier to type.Considering that this is the incorrect cover for my Macbook, I'm nevertheless impressed with it, and will leave it on.
