Works well but with some caveats
Like a lot of cheap no-name audio gears this has two classic problems: the left and right audio outputs are swapped, and the volume knob uses a linear potentiometer instead of logarithmic so the entire volume range is compressed into the last few settings of the knob with the rest of it being silent. The unit does work; it can get reasonably loud with some distortion in the low frequency range but no crackling or clipping. The device does not get hot while running and the volume knob is not "crackly" in any way as you rotate it. There is no humming, hissing, or buzzing in the audio which was really important for me.The bass adjustment works surprisingly well.I tested this and got good results from a PS5, a Windows laptop, and a Linux Ubuntu desktop. It did not produce any audio on an XBox Series X (the console couldn't detect a sound device was attached) which was unfortunate. It has a light on the front that flashes when there's audio data coming in. It's kind of annoying but it does tell you clearly when it's established communication with whatever you plugged it into, so that's nice when troubleshooting. It also has a red power LED.The USB type C connector feels a little weird and all the cables I have stick too far out of it. It is completely functional but that's one of those things I'll have doubts about. I also tested this running through two long USB extension cords with no issues either. If you don't mind the left/right swap and limited range of volume (though it can get loud, you just have to have a very light touch when adjusting the knob) then it works pretty well.I didn't use the microphone feature so I can't comment about that.

Great Product
Worked great to record from my laptop to my multitrack recorder.

Functionality
Works, but base volume does not function as I thought it would.

Excellent External Sound Card
I bought this to upgrade from my desktop motherboard sound which was causing static in the audio of Doom Eternal. The sound of this unit is a huge improvement over it, no static at all as other buyers have mentioned. It's nearly like a mini stereo amp for computer sound. A volume control knob and bass control knob are a big plus. What also helped me in making my purchase decision was the review video that David Runacres uploaded.

Works for an unusual use
I use this soundcard/mixer as an input to my amateur radio to utilize digital modes, which are tone generated. This unit has great separation between input and output and acts as a transformer to prevent intermodulation.

It is worth every dollar.
This was just what I wanted, plug, play and no delay. Don't know what the future holds, but fir now am happy.
