OGC 6" Easy semi-Automatic Door Stops - 6 Inch Door Stopper with a Height-Adjustable Rubber (Brass)

The media could not be loaded. Purchased this for one of the doors. Before making the purchase, I did some research as usual and ended up seeing this wonderful unit. As it looks on the product description pics, it's got a thin-looking rather than thick/bulky.I liked the fact but I was also a bit worried about its durability and sturdiness as it looks quite thin on the pic.But it turned out I didn't have to!!Its build quality is superb. And it looks very durable to me and I think it will last years. The semi-automatic feature, I didn't understand it what it was exactly until I received and installed it. The feature is not must thing but I think it really shines in a situation where you can lock/unlock this door stopper by using the semi-automatic feature while standing.Overall, I couldn't be more happier with the purchase and love the new gadget's look and feel (it does look well-made, not cheap looking at all).

Before trying this 6” door stop I had tried several other models (mostly shorter in length) and they were always disappointing or failed prematurely. This is the first model I’ve tried that is long enough to work when there’s a difference between the floor and the door (like a sloping concrete pad that the door opens into). The easy retraction lever requires just a tap of the foot and works great. Have purchased several more of these for both indoor and outdoor applications and they all perform flawlessly.

This worked great on my door even with one of those mechanical door shutting mechanisms. Very strong. Only thing is the screws are a little on the shorts side but that wasn’t a deal breaker. Since my door has the auto close mechanism I wanted some screws with a little more depth and hold power.

The color was darker than the pictures, really an antique brass rather than the shiny brass. I definitely wanted the step-to-release lever and I would also have enjoyed having an adjustment on the foot. I would also have enjoyed having a template (to sit on the floor rather than the door) to mark the screws. But the main reason I took off a star is because with the foot down (necessary to mark the screw positions without a template) the lever is slanted slightly up and is in the way of tightening the top screw. I finally decided to do the 2 bottom screws, then pushed the lever down to release the foot, then carefully lowered the foot and lever with one hand while I finished tightening the top screw.The self drilling screws worked fine on my door and appear to hold the door stop securely. If as some reviews have indicated, I need to eventually replace the provided screws with longer ones that won't be too inconvenient.

During the day we keep a side door to our garage open, so our dog can seek shelter and access her food and water. At night we keep her in the garage with the door closed, so she won't bark and disturb our neighbors.The side door opens outside over a concrete pad that is several inches below the door's threshold. Using a plastic clamp, I held the door stopper in place, installed the first screw, then was able to install the two additional screws without assistance.Activating the door stopper is as easy as flipping it down with my foot. When I want it to retract, I just touch the release with my toe and the door stopper springs back up. No bending down is needed. This door stopper prevents breezes from closing the garage access door but does not interfere with our closing the door at the end of the day. The result is a simple cost-effective solution to securing the door.

Works great and it was easy to install! I would buy it again!

The media could not be loaded. This is my second door stop from this company. Very well Made. Will hold up to weather and will last for many years.The problem that I had was the length from the door or gate to the ground. My door is about 5 inch draw and the same for my gate as you can see. I like other door stops on Amazon but they would extend from the door / gate to the ground. Always about an inch or two short. That is not to say this door stop doesn't look good. More function than looks. This company gives you lots of option for color and metal tone.The door stop has held the gate / door up to 20mph winds. That is about the highest winds we get in this neck of the woods. I was tired of my back door and gate slamming shut all the time . Best of luck to your door stop venture.

This door stop is good looking, the retraction mechanism is effective and easy to use, and on my RV inner door, which has a large gap at the top and bottom (to allow a/c and heat to work better) and still the door stopper can be installed such that it works perfectly.
