I use this to extend the length of hoses for when I backwash our pool sand filter. Works great, and does exactly what I wanted.

Worked exactly as expected, no leaking at all. I hate my 30ft+ vaccum hose you have to get all the air ut and it twists and is a royal pain. Now with these I can connect to my regular hoses and make the length i need. Perfect

Does the job, no problem.

The long 1.5" white flex hose on my above ground pool has sprung a leak. I did a repair job on it with some popular brand of tape that is frequently advertised. The tape seemed to do the trick until the same hose sprung another leak in a different spot. I could see how this was going to work out. I had a couple of shorter hoses in my arsenal of spare parts, but no way to connect them. This item seems a bit on the expensive side, but after shopping for PVC fittings at the hardware store, I relented. It works to make a longer hose out of two shorter ones.
