More snake oil?
Have a Vw golf my 5 with the Turbo Overboost fault code - it was causing the engine to go into Limp Home Mode every time I accelerated and went over about 2k rpm, so basically all the time. Was resigned to paying at best, £300 for a turbo rebuild, or at worst £900 for a new turbo. Had tried the off-the-shelf Halfords products that purport to clean the engine and its bits, but to no avail. So that was a tenner I would never see again. I was extremely reticent to paying over twenty quid for yet another bottle of Snake Oil, but I was desperate and really did not want to fork out hundreds of pounds. After extensive research, this product appeared to be worth the extra money, and several people with the exact problem I had said it worked, so I thought what the heck, I had nothing much else to loose, so ordered it. Had I not been drowning my sorrows at the time because of the thought of having to shell out hundreds on a car I'd just bought, I wouldn't have ordered this, but I was, and I did.It arrived quickly.I waited until my fuel tank was nearly empty, added the whole bottle then filled up.I then went for a drive.A hundred mile drive down the motorway (Cheltenham, if you're interested)And there was no difference at all.And I thought, oh well. It's my own fault for believing all the hype. There's no substitute for taking the turbo apart and cleaning it or replacing it.And I drowned my sorrows again that night, in a very nice hotel. (Holiday Inn)Next day, I set off back home, down and despondent. And then......I had driven 50 miles, and something changed. The rev counter shot past the 2k mark and the car kept going. I thought i was mistaken, so I gingerly revved some more, and the car responded perfectly. So I spent the remaining 50 miles dropping down gears to get the revs right up at 60 and 70 mph, and the car worked perfectly.I was astonished and thrilled - quite genuinely it's like I have a new car. It revs freely, it changes smoothly and no longer throws up the Turbo Overboost DTC.This is the very best £25 I've ever spent. Well, except for a night in a bar in Germany a couple of years back, but that's another story.Bottom line - this is the prescription-strength, pharmacy-only answer to engine cleaners. Apparently it's secret is that it survives the combustion process to be able to carry on its cleaning chemical reaction through the whole system, where as the other off-the-(Halfords) shelf solutions are a bit to namby-pamby to cope.I've bought another two bottles, and will run them through the next two tanks in succession, and will continue to buy a bottle every 5000 or so miles as advertised.Incredibly pleased, and relived I don't have to fork out hundreds!Incidentally, if you'd like to learn about the German trip, drop me an email, or, better yet, a bottle of this stuff, and I will avail you.

works like a charm
Had my emissions light come on in my 09 Audi Q5 3.0 tdi and tried Liqui Molly first. Light was back on on the next fill up. Called a carbon cleaning company in town to set up an appointment and they suggested I tried Archoil AR6400-D Max first. I was reluctant at first as I just wanted my system cleaned once and for all without spending another 20 quid. I purchased and followed the directions and 5 months later, the emissions light is still off and getting great MPG. I'll purchase this again and run it through every 5K miles as suggested.

Does actually work and improve engine feel and fuel economy
Must admit I was sceptical that any fuel additive did anything other than waste money. However, my old diesel engine was starting to idle heavily so I decided to give an additive a try. Research on the web suggested Archoil was one of the better ones. This size of bottle is sufficient for one tank of fuel. Run your tank low and take the Archoil bottle with you to the station. Break the foil seal on the bottle and tip the bottle into the fuel tank. The long thin neck on the bottle means it goes down the fuel inlet with no splashing of the contents. Then fill up with Diesel, this will give the correct concentration of additive for a typical family sized car.I used to get around 600 miles per tank, used plus remaining miles always hovered around a total of 600 figure, now it is around 680 miles. But the biggest improvement is in engine idling, the engine is much quieter now.I do not experience any improvement in acceleration so I am still sceptical about the claims for improved performance but miles per gallon and a smoother idling are definitely improved for my 2 litre TDI engine.

DPF full cleaned 😀
I was struggling a lot with my 2017 Toyota Avensis diesel engine due to a full DPF warning on the display. I tried many products, but nothing worked. Finally, I decided to visit a mechanic, who told me they could clean the DPF but warned that my low daily mileage would cause it to fill up again. Then, my office security guy advised me to use half a bottle of Archoil 6400 in a full tank and drive at least 60 miles. Once the DPF full message cleared, he recommended using Archoil 6900 at a ratio of 1ml per liter during every refuel to prevent clogging. I followed his advice, and I’m very impressed, this is the only product that truly works. I highly recommend it to anyone struggling with a full DPF. Thanks!
