Light duty pruners
Bought to maintain my roses. I have a brand name 12” version that I love and these allow me to reach further to avoid the nasty thorns. Works well on green stems and not so well on wooded stems. It will cut them up to 5/8” if you have patience. That being said the “grab and holding” takes a bit of learning as if you want to cut/hold a stem, where along the blade you cut is important. Naturally most will cut closest to the pivot which is fine on thicker stems, but for pencil thickness or less, the stem will fall before it grabs. Need to cut near the tip to the first screw for smaller stems. Once you mastered where to cut, then you can move to fruit trees. Was able to “pick” a fruit without it falling to the ground. Being able to twist the handle seems more of a weakness than a benefit.

Not strong enough
Not strong enough to pick up anything over a pound.

The opening of the pistol grip is too wide and causes job fatigue and pain.
These pruners work reasonably well, but I have tendinitis and arthritis in my hands and the pistol grip causes pain, because the opening is too wide, and should have been set at slightly less of an angle. They cut small branches adequately well.

Trimming twigs
The spring makes it very hard to press the handle. and it makes it hard to work for more than 10 minutes at the time. The good thing is that after a few weeks of constant work with it, you will have a strong 💪

A must for water gardens
I bought these to use to trim pond plants in my water garden. It's gotten harder for me to bend down and reach across to trim my water plants without fear of falling in. These are perfect for cutting the wilted stems of my taro plants and lily pads.

Does Not Last
I bought 2 pack Gaifan long handle prunners 2 months ago and one has already broke. When I pull the handle, it cuts but it does not release anymore. Each time I had to push the pole back into the handle for it to release. What a disappointment.
