Fit & finish is nice
Put this on my Rock Island GI 1911. Looks nice and fits great. I'm doing all stainless parts and this fits my bill. I have not fired it yet with this on, I'm wait to install all other stainless parts first but I can not foresee any issues with it as it fits and lines up well with the barrel.

Only good thing I can say is the chrome finish!
Don't be fooled by the description! DOES NOT fit many 1911's. With a great deal of fitment possibly. But bear in mind it is chrome plated and nicely so. The only good thing I can say about it. Tolerances and dimensions are a deal breaker for me. If you have a 9mm stay away despite what the description says! I've had similar issues with stuff from Riot Balls. Wishing I could leave no stars.

Nice
It's very nice but didn't realize how shiny it is. My 45 is dark gray. So I ended up having to switch it for a matte black one. But this piece is very nice.

Measure Your Barrel Diameter Before Ordering!
My dissatisfaction with this compensator is partly my fault. I've been working with 1911s long enough to know that before you buy a new barrel bushing, you must measure the outside diameter of your barrel. I put this product on my Colt and was very disappointed when the barrel just rattled around in the new bushing; it reminded me of the 1911 I used to carry as an Infantryman. My barrel's OD is .579", while the compensator's ID is .614". That's entirely too much play!What is not my fault is the seller's failure to point this potential problem out in the product description. I just reviewed it carefully again and nowhere is the bushing's inside diameter mentioned. I couldn't give this product a one star rating in good consioncense due to my culpability, but I couldn't go above two stars because of the seller's ommision.Unfortunately, I didn't try attaching it to my Colt before the return window closed. So now I have a shiny and expensive paper weight.
