I wasn't a fan, but I am now!
I won't deny that I have never took the time to explore the discography of Type O Negative. I never heard that one song that made me think, "oh damn, I really need to check them out". With that said, they've always been a curiosity of mine and I finally took the gamble with this, The Complete Roadrunner Collection 1991-2003 box-set. A pure blind purchase and one that paid off VERY well.As the title suggest, The Complete Roadrunner Collection 1991-2003 is a box-set containing Type O Negative's first six albums. This includes Slow, Deep And Hard (1991), The Origin of Feces (1992), Bloody Kisses (1993), October Rust (1996), World Coming Down (1999) and Life Is Killing Me (2003). The albums come in a fairly low budget looking hard case that opens up and has the CDs slotted in some small cardboard sleeves. It is extremely bare bones, there's not even a booklet with the thing. It's exactly the same as the Obituary, King Diamond and Deicide box-sets I purchased years ago.My time with the music was definitely very interesting. The earlier thrashier stuff reminded me a little of Voivod and it was rather good. It was not what I was expecting and was a nice surprise. Everything I knew about the band came from their last couple of albums and I enjoyed that style too. That Sisters of Mercy meets Black Sabbath style composing worked very well for the band, creating a lot of great songs. I found plenty of great big juicy guitar riffs, many great bass grooves and some really nicely constructed melodies. There were also some great solos, which I also wasn't expecting for whatever reason. I thought the lyrical content was utter nonsense for the most part. I know some people think they're extremely poetic but it did nothing for me. I liked the contrasting styles between Peter Steele's harsher thrash metal voice and that low vampiric goth thing he does. It really fit the mood perfectly, especially when it was utilised at the right times. There were many songs that stood out to me. I really loved Unsuccessfully Coping With the Natural Beauty of Infidelity, "Gravitational Constant: G = 6.67 × 10−8 cm−3 gm−1 sec−2, Christian Woman, Black No. 1, and a few that just can't be named for their name may offend or the sheer length of the title. I don't know if my song choices makes me an utter Type O Negative noob but I found a lot to love, even their cover versions. Cinnamon Girl is really fun, their medley of Day Tripper/If I Needed Someone/I Want You and is awesome.I can fully understand why people really love this band. They had a lot to offer the world, even if their lyrics were pretty juvenile. I haven't heard their hard to get album, Dead Again. But it appears that the death of Peter Steele was a pretty sad loss. It seems he was a very nice bloke to know and the music he was involved in is very memorable. It was great to hear some of the songs I had heard previously in context with their album. It certainly felt more natural and more enjoyable to me. I couldn't stop listening to the albums and I am still at it right now. I've certainly grown to appreciate the band more.My impressions here are those people who love Black Sabbath, goth rock and doom metal will be right at home with this album. It may be worth searching out for fans of Danzig, the vertically challenged egotistical nut job from the Misfits. It seems that Type O Negative is everything he wanted to be and could be a worthy purchase for his fans. This is a great box-set and was £20 very well spent.

Great value set for any new Type O fans
I've only really just got into Type O Negative and only own Dead Again, Slow Deep and Hard and Bloody Kisses, value wise it was cheaper than buying the remaining items separately so bonus points right there. The CDs are all in cardboard cases, which is cool I guess, but there's a lack of lyrics, but that's not something that's overly important to me, Petes vocals are good enough to go by I guess. The size of the set is only actually about the same as a double CD, maybe a couple of mm thinner so they all fit nicely in there. Musically it's 6 stars out of 5 and gives you a great idea of progression the band did through their careers with TON. Starting with the earlier, thrashier stuff and moving onto the more classic Type O sound with Bloody Kisses, but my favourite is actually Life is Killing Me, it's such a great album, can't get enough of it. The only downside is the lack of Dead Again, but I guess it's not a RR album and it's cheap enough anyway to get on it's own, worth getting with this set so you can have all 7 albums at once. My weekend is set. Maximum value is you want all the albums and don't already have most of them.

Amazing
I’m a huge fan of TON, so might be biased, but love this collection. Much better than buying the albums separately, saves a lot of money!

Brilliant collection from Type O Negative
This box set is a great starting point it has six of their albums. All of which sounds great. Some super doom metal here and some nice lyrics too. Only improvement would be the inclusion of their last album dead again. Aside from this, I would highly recommend this box set to new fans or old fans alike

A quality collection for fans of or newcomers to, Type O Negative.
"The Complete Roadrunner Collection 1991-2003" is a great collection. It brings together most of Type O Negative's releases with six of the seven albums released by them included, with the seventh album excluded simply due to "Dead Again" being released on SPV Records after they left Roadrunner. The albums included in this boxset are:"Slow, Deep and Hard" - 1991"The Origin of the Feces" - 1992"Bloody Kisses" - 1993"October Rust" - 1996"World Coming Down" - 1999"Life Is Killing Me" - 2003It's basically the essential collection of their albums and it's not a bad price for the digital download. One (slightly petty) downside to this box set is that upon download, all 71 songs are in one folder so if you like your music organised, you're going to need to sort every album into their own folders. Apart from that, I'd recommend getting this. You can just buy "Dead Again" separately for a cheap price and then you have the entire discography. Not bad at all.

It’s a music cd 🤷🏻♀️
Got for a 13yr old friend of my daughter, she loves it so might be good. Depends on your music tastes I guess!
