Helpful Tips & Detailed Review
Helpful Tips & Detailed ReviewI’ve used these urine test strips primarily to monitor urinary health and help confirm symptoms of a UTI. Overall, I’m very pleased with the product, especially considering the extended expiration date compared to other brands. These are a great supplementary tool to add to your symptoms while consulting your doctor.Tips & Best Practices:1. Preventing Bleed-Over Between Test Squares:To avoid cross-contamination between test pads, follow the instructions carefully—especially Step #2. After dipping the strip vertically in the urine sample, turn it horizontally to let excess urine drip off into the cup. Then place the strip on a paper towel to absorb any remaining liquid. Using this method, I experienced no color bleeding between test squares.2. Reading Results More Accurately:I found it easiest to read results by placing the test strip on the laminated “Testing Color and Reading Time” card. The laminated surface allows for clearer color comparison. Afterward, I wipe the card down with a disinfecting wipe and let it air dry.3. Urine Concentration Matters:Be sure to test a sample from a “normally hydrated” state. When I tested a very concentrated sample, almost every parameter appeared positive—it looked like I was seriously ill. On the other hand, a very dilute sample can give a false impression of perfect health. The specific gravity reading can help adjust your interpretation by indicating urine concentration.Minor Issue – Uric Acid Color Discrepancy:The one issue I had was with the Uric Acid test. The color indicator on the strip did not match the chart at all. While the unused strip showed a greenish/purplish base color, the chart shows orange. After testing, I always got a blue shade, while the chart leaned more purple. The color on the bottle was more blue but still off in color. I understand the disclaimer that unused colors don’t affect final results, but if the post-test colors don’t align either, the chart becomes less useful. Still, this was the only inconsistent test in my experience. Conclusion:Despite the uric acid issue, I found the strips accurate and helpful for home monitoring. They showed a slight elevation in leukocytes, which supported my symptoms and helped me make a more informed visit to the doctor. These strips shouldn’t replace professional medical advice, but they’re a valuable tool when used correctly.

bleedover /inaccuracies. Verify vs pro labwork if u find + or - results but w bad symptoms.
the Protein assay (to measure protein in urine, or albumin) always seems to show green (the color indicating protein- perhaps they were handled in processing?). But most of the square shows no protein. I spat on it and it showed protein (lit up green) so it must be a slight defect or bleedover. Also, yet to check against pro lab tests.

False Positive Difficult to Interpret
Took one of these 12/18 was dehydrated and it lit up like a Christmas Tree. I panicked and went to my GP the order labs. Bloodwork and urinalysis was taken 12/19. All labs were in normal range when received 12/20. At home dipsticks are have high rates of false positives and false negatives. If you have a concern speak to your GP and have them order you an actual lab. These strips can cause more harm than good.

Interesting
These test strips came quickly and perfectly packaged. There are 100 strips a laminated result card to compare the resulting changes on the strip. I would like to have had a more detailed explanation of the result as some categories are difficult to compare as the real time coloring doesn't always seem to match up with the laminated card. It's also a small issue to determine what the actual values when compared to the resulting color are as they seem to be a little too general. It would also have been nice to have accompanying literature so you didn't have to look up every category result and how it applied to your health. That being said, if you know anything about healthcare or lab tests these strips will give a broad view of overall heath and what area might need watching or attention. Worth the price which was very affordable
