Needed a vhf/uhf temporary antenna
I needed a temporary antenna for my pickup, installed a IC-706MKIIG with vhf/uhf capability, works fine locally to hit a couple repeaters but suffers on simplex as it is too short. Will also work as a GMRS antenna.

This is the one you want for GMRS
Magnet is strong. Cable is long. Antenna is thicc... lol. Works really well with solid manufacturing tolerances apparently. Put it on my Midland 115 and am getting 1.2 over 1 SWR across the entire GMRS band. Would definately buy another if I needed one!

Great for ham bands. Not Great for anything else.
Great for HAM VHF frequencies. Not so great for out of Band Frequencies. I work a wider band of frequencies than just HAM 2m/70CM as I work with Search and Rescue in the 150-170mhz band. SWR peak at 144 mhz and are awful at 150 and up. 1.7 at 147.950 and 1.4 at 144.00 ERP was at 45-48 watts. At 150mhz it was in the 17.5 range on reflected power. Testing was done with a known good ground plane and a 65w capable that routinly does 63 watt on my comet CA-2x4SR with spring insert. This is going to sit in my closet and gather dust. I am a little disappointed as the antenna says 136-174mhz.

Works great, Dual band picks up VHF 155.XXX and UFH 453.XXX with no issues....will buy a 2nd as needed

Not very functional
This antenna is a glorified dummy load on VHF. It may work on strong repeaters in small area but its simplex performance is a deal breaker.
