Andis FINALLY GETS IT!
First of all, let me express that I AM NOT A PROFESSIONAL BARBER.That being said, as a home barber, I do believe in purchasing professional grade barber equipment, the purpose of longevity. There are a lot of new companies getting into the trimmer game, but I buy Andis because they have been around for many years, and have a proven performance record in many professional settings. And most of all, I don't have to worry about finding replacement parts.I have been a long time Andis customer; over 38 years in fact. Although I prefer Wahl clippers, Andis trimmers have always been my go-to. I like their simplicity, blade interchangeability, precision, and most of all power. The price that barbers are charging has gotten out of hand, so I tend to buy clippers and trimmers that I will use 20 years or more. I don't mind spending a bit extra to get professional grade equipment, because the money I save not getting hijacked by the barber more than justifies my rationale.I tend to give myself a full cut and trim about twice a month, but decided to touch up my cuts once a week now. This trimmer will allow me to accomplish that.I did a lot of research before deciding on the Andis T liner GTX clippers. In all honesty, my hair is very short, so these blades are probably overkill. I decided to buy these anyway, just in case I ever decide to grow a beard or grow my hair out.I was very skeptical of buying cordless trimmers, simply because my Andis Outliner II trimmers have been a workhorse for over 30 years. The Outliners are almost impossible to get rid of because of their performance and reliability. The Andis GTX t liners have been a pleasant surprise so far. Right out of the box, they are already sharp. I was looking for these clippers to not have to solid quality feel of the Andis corded models, but I was surprised. These clippers are very solid, and feel great. My main reason for purchasing these trimmers is that I wanted to be able to move around without having to worry about the cord getting caught on something. These trimmers are a part of my lineup. I use the Wahl Magic clips for my main fade. I then use the Outliner II for my forehead line-up. I use these T liners for my edges, neckline, mustache and beard. And finally I use the Andis foil shavers to bald fade. These four units could hold their own in ANY barber shop setting. Finally, when I say that Andis FINALLY gets it, I mean that most people that buy the regular T liners like to modify (skeletize by cutting away the upper portion of the clipper). Andis has already done that with this clipper, and it REALLY looks cool and sleek.Hopefully, these blades will give me many years of performance, but when it comes time to replace them, I feel confident that I will be able to do so with minimal effort.

Andis 74150 GTX-EXO: A Pro-Level Trimmer for Everyone
As a barber, I've used countless trimmers. The Andis 74150 GTX-EXO stands out. It's built for precision and comfort, making it a fantastic choice whether you're a professional or just want a top-tier trimmer at home.Power & Precision in Your Hand: This trimmer features a powerful motor (7,200 SPM) with Constant Speed Technology, meaning it cuts smoothly through all hair types without snagging. The highlight is the GTX-Z blade, which comes pre-set for a tight cut. It's excellent for sharp lines, intricate designs, and close dry shaving.Cordless Freedom: The lithium-ion battery gives you over 100 minutes of run time on a single charge. This cordless design is incredibly convenient, and you can even use it while it's charging.Comfort & Durability: The GTX-EXO feels great in your hand – it's well-balanced and designed for clear visibility as you work. It feels sturdy and built to last, a hallmark of Andis quality. While the blade can warm up with extended use (common with powerful trimmers), it's a minor point. If you want a reliable, high-performance trimmer that delivers consistently clean results, the Andis GTX-EXO is an excellent investment.

Unreliable
I used these trimmers to cut my hair once per week. I am essentially bald- I trim as short as possible without shaving and what hair I do have is fine/thin. I got tired of the cord on my Oster fast feed and went for this model. It cut my hair for about 1 second before it quit working. It just snags and won't actually cut. I started the return process with the seller, but after watching a YouTube video I replaced the driver assembly, made an adjustment to the metal prongs and it started working. It actually worked quite well, it cuts your hair extremely short without being zero gapped. It is adequately powerful and you don't have to go over the same spots over and over.I'm not sure how long the battery lasts because I used it for less than an hour before it quit cutting again. I went back to the original drive assembly, cleaned everything off, oiled it (which I also do after every use), disassembled and reassembled it repeatedly. The blades move but they don't cut.All I can say is that to call these trimmers commercial grade is a joke. Less than an hour use against very short, thin hair (maybe 9-10 haircuts?) and it's completely unusable. Since I didn't return it to the seller initially, I contacted Andis. I have to pay to ship it to them for a warranty repair, and wait for it to come back. It's a good thing that in the meantime I can continue to use the Oster clippers that I had wanted to replace after 5 years of weekly use. They worked great when they worked. But they don't hold up for long. If you've got money to blow and you want to use these for yourself at home, go for it. I cannot recommend professionals relying on it to make a living though.
