I used this for connecting to a small water pump that we use to empty our large padding pool. The hose onnects up easily and is ran up to the kitchen window to pour down the sink. It worked very well, I was impressed by the durability of the hose.

The flat shape means it is convenient to roll up and store without taking up too much space. If you are using it with a pump, as I was, to drain a small pond, it will inflate to a round cross section and get rid of the water effectively provided that you lay it out in a straight line. If you need to curve it around a corner it will kink very readily. This does not necessarily mean that it will not let the water flow, but it will slow it, and the more kinks, the slower it will flow. Trying to remove the kinks can be an irritant- get rid of one and another appears somewhere else. Going over an edge can also cause kinking, but it rather depends on the strength of the pump and the angle of the edge. You may be lucky and find that the force of the pump keeps the pipe fully open.
