working fine so far - easy fix and pedal very responsive.

This worked really well on an old solid Janome machine. It was easy to fit and adjust, and replaced a brocken motor to allow an otherwise junk machine to keep on going. It even took the cable for the light despite not being specified to do this. Only very minor point was a the new cable to plug was shorter, best for a bench setting not a table in the middle of the room. Fantastic, would recomend it.

Replacement for a tired and worn out motor and a suspect foot controller. The new foot controller gives much more control and works better than the original. The motor was easy to fit and the machine runs smoothly with lots of power. We are very happy with this product and would recomend it to anyone who was refurbishing an old singer machine

I have been searching for a while to replace the motor of my old Jones sewing machine which still works great.I took the chance to see if it will take light wiring and it did.Supplied with all necessary clamps for wiring modifications.I’m a woman and I did it so anyone can.

its very good. the motor works well. But make sure the motor has the correct bracket for your sewing machine.

Used to repair 1950s singer 99k, the main advantage is the addition of an earth which gives me confidence to use the machine more. The foot controller is also an improvement on the original rheostat version and offers full control from very slow to a decent speed. Shame its white but I rattle can painted it and glued on the singer name plate and it looks identical. Single screw to undo to fit it took 5 mins, supplied drive band too small but used the original with no problems

This motor and foot controller unit is a worthwhile upgrade for any vintage sewing machine, either hand crank or tradle, or to replace a non-functioning original motor, just ensure that the machine head has a mounting boss to fasten the motor to the machine.The motor was easy to fit (one bolt) and once fitted performs as good as the original motors, this is a genuine YDK motor and not a cheap Chinese copy.I would highly recommend this unit.

in February 2021, I ordered this item which was advertised as a “universal” sewing machine replacement motor, for my wife’s Newhome sewing machine. On receipt of the motor I discovered that the teeth on the inside of the drive belt were a different spacing to the spline grooves on the balance wheel, resulting in it being of no use. I emailed the seller to complain and was told “they are universal but not all the belts are the same size.” Then in this case surely they should not be advertised as “universal.”I also noticed that on a diagram inside the motor terminal cover, reference was made to a “capacitor”, which was not included with the motor. I queried this but have never received a “response. All in all, disappointing. I would not recommend using this company.
