Triton Showers, Replacement Hand Shower Bracket, Shower Riser Rail Slider, Universal Fit, White, 22mm

This made an ideal replacement for the old style head holder on my electric Triton shower. It is made much sturdier and was pretty simple to fit. Seems to be of a good quality and for such a cheap item, has made the shower much easier to use - no more having to constantly move the shower head up after it slides down! Time will tell how it holds up and performs, but first impressions are very good.

Does exactly what we wanted. Fitted quickly, easy to move up and down doesn’t slide down or move without pressing the button. Feels a bit loose holding the shower head, but it does easily hold our Bristan shower head.

Ordered the 19mm size first but it was too small to fit onto the slider pole. I measured the aperture on the item I had ordered and found it to be 17mm. Returned it and ordered next size up instead, 22mm. This was too big! It did grip onto the slider pole but not tightly enough to hold the weight of the shower head. I ended up packing the bit that grips the pole by cutting a section off the old holder I was replacing. But then I noticed the part that holds the shower head was also too big and the shower head was rotating round in the holder! Luckily I was able to swap this part with the equivalent part from the old holder again. A bit annoying but got there in the end. I can only suppose the slider pole and shower head that I already have are not Triton. Why manufacturers can't just all agree on the same dimensions for parts I do not know, I suppose that would make things too simple for the consumer!? Aside from the issues with sizing, everything else about it seems fine but be warned you might need to do what I did to end up with something that actually does what it is supposed to do!

The old one had been broken for a few years. The shower head kept sliding down and I kept needing to raise it up again. So purhcased a new one, I fitted it yesterday, then dismissed it as job done. Next morning I routinely reached up to adjust the shower head, saw it was exactly where I'd positioned it the day before and thought "Oh! I don't need to do that now!"

What a shame. Unfortunately this is badly made. It looks lovely but is not functional.The little grey collars that go around the vertical pole are simply not big and strong enough. I fitted this about 10 weeks ago. I am now bored of the very fiddly reassembly routine I have to complete every time the collars 'pop out'. No teens in the house, just and old couple so it doesn't get abused at all.We are going to buy a whole new pole with shower holder to fix to the wall. Cheap bathroom fittings don't work.
