This product worked wonders in the hot, central Florida blaze that was this weekend. It was every bit of 10 degrees cooler under this than outside of it. I’m definitely not getting 6.5 foot in height as I’m 5’11” and I have to duck to get into it, but that could be due to the soft sand and having to go further into the sand for sturdiness. I put it up by myself without any help and it really is comfortable underneath it. It’s probably big enough for about 4-5 people instead of the 6-8 that it said.The quality of the product is nice and stretches great. This product really hit all the bullet points for me and I feel that I got good quality for the money that I spent.

Nice tent! A couple of clues to build. Follow the directions. They are pretty easy. If it’s windy, dig the holes but be sure to have sharp vertical sides. They keep the bags in the hole. Make the holes about 24 to 36 inches from the tent. Do the entire layout as per instructions, but you will make adjustments, so be prepared..Bring a real shovel. The little trowels are useless. Best clue, twist the bags as you bury them. It really helps the stability by reducing wind on the supports.

Pros: Very easy set-up and take down. Also lightweight and convenient with its own case for carrying. Can probably fit easily as a ‘personal item’ for travel on flights too. Keeps the heat out, but have only used it on the beach with nice winds/breeze so far. Holds up well with breezes/windCons: Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is it doesn’t seem like the uvb protection is very good. Feels like a sun umbrella has better protection (we stayed under this tent fully shaded but still got sun burned. If you look up while under the tent you can also tell that it is thin/see-through as the sun shines right though). If this product had a stronger uvb coating this would be perfect.

As described, worked great for 3 small kids and 4 adults. Recommend using bungee cords from folding supports to hold material to pole. Folded over certain sides with wind to reduce flapping. Will get something stronger to secure corners and fold sections to tops poles. Also may add something like chip clips to flatten sides, to reduce wind issues.All in all worked great, can be modified for high wind in Hatteras NC.

Makes an all day trip to the beach a breeze! Easy set up. Lost the set up instructions- but don't worry, just make it look like the picture!

Love the ease of set up for this item. We go to the beach every summer and spend the entire day out. So easy to put up and so light weight!

Not quite what is advertized...First day at the beach it took about 45 minutes and 3 sides caving in at a time before i got the flimsy thing to stand up. The tent then collapsed when the weight bags pulled out of the sand they were buried in. The people beside us offered to assist holding it while securing. Added water-packed sand to the bags and it held a bit better.Second day at the beach I could not get the cover tight enough to not hit us in the head while SITTING under it, kept having to zip tie the ends and additionally fold each corner several times to stay still and not flop around so much. The material apparently had to stretch itself out and gave it so much more play.Third, fourth, and fifth days at the beach, we decided the tent was too much of a pain to maintain while trying to enjoy quality family time, we used chair umbrellas instead.When we got home I took the tent out to clean it in the yard and used the provided pegs to anchor it. Those proved to be too flimsy to hold the tent up, one of the pegs broke in two places while trying to sink it in the ground so I had to use a peg of my own. One of the corners has a small rip from having to fold it up and zip tie it so much on the beach. It rained right after trying to clean the sand off in the yard and 3 out of 4 sides have collapsed, it can't hold the moisture and it gets too heavy for the small posts, and the pegs come flying out of the ground like trebuchets - sending pegs and mud to the other side of the yard.This might be a good tent with better structure support and tie-downs, the sand bags should be a bit heavier to keep wind from pulling them out of the ground, and it needs more sturdier pegs to sink in the ground for non-beach use.I can't say I'd recommend this one, especially for the price I paid.
