Does the job perfectly, but cheekily doesn't include a kettle lead
Product arrived swiftly and worked first time. I thought it was cheeky not to include a 50p kettle lead in a relatively expensive power source though.

Works
So far so good, the NAS (918+) came back to life as soon as I plugged it in. Will update the review if any issues arise.

Does the job for a Synology 918+.
Was lucky and the original Synology one which blew the fuse (and blew another) didn't take out the NAS itself. Was really handy to get it next day on Prime - a Synology original is about one week delivery. This PSU at least has a sturdy case - not possible to see inside, but a decent case is often an indicator that what is inside is quality too.Sorry it is a bit hard to review something that is just a black box, and I don't have a setup to test load it and look at things like ripple and voltage stability under load, or anything that is a real measure of quality and performance.

This saved my synology….
After receiving the email from synology that my device was offline I thought my internet went down. After a day with no email my synology stating it was back online I went to check on it to find out that the NAS was not powered. It is an old NAS with a lot of important data so needed to have it back on….checked on synology website and they wanted £80 for it. Decided to get this one. Fits properly and the most importantly the NAS was powered again. It’s been few weeks now and still going strong. Recommended!

Compatible replacement power supply for Synology DS412+
Ordered this as a replacement for the OEM power supply that shipped with a Synology DS412+ that proved unable to completely power on the NAS unit. The OEM unit still works to some extent, however it appears unable to provide the burst power required to start the NAS, I'm unsure if the 5v or the 12v rail was faulty as I never got around to testing it. I just simply wanted to get the NAS unit back online and check that the SHR disc array was still ok.This replacement power supply is heavier and larger than the original OEM supply, but is pin and voltage compatible and was a straight swap. Powering on the NAS with the new supply plugged in resulted in the more usual power on lights, disk check lights and eventual beep when the NAS has completed its initialisation checks. Approximately 4-5 mins after switch on, the NAS was up and running and available on the network again like it had never been offline. If you find yourself with a Synology NAS that won't power up fully or appears to start and then switch off, check the OEM power supply that comes with your Synology NAS. 9 times out of 10, it's a good bet that replacing the power supply will resolve any power-on or stability issues you might be experiencing.
