Keys easy to see
I like this keyboard, using it with a MacMini M2 computer. It was easy to set up, easy to see the backlit keys, and has a light on the CAPS-LOCK key which some competitors (Macally) do not. I'm a hunt and peck typist so don't expect to be a hard user. Looks and sounds great, no issues. Battery life seems OK, even tho I leave the highest backlighting on all the time. I tried several competitors, including. Logitech MX keys for Mac - this is easier to see the keys. Can put Mac mini to sleep with Alt-Cmd-Eject combo keys.

Stylish & Sturdy
This Satechi Slim x3 keyboard for mac is of very good quality. Typing is easy and most Mac keys are in the right place. However, I really do miss the Mac function keys for Show Open Windows and Mission Control. These keys were replaced by the backlighting controls. The backlighting is weird. The light mostly comes from under and around the keys, plus some light shows through the keys. I find the back light distracting and have it turned off. The power charge is long lasting. I have adjusted to the missing keys by using shortcuts.

Good keyboard but with a major issue
Decided to go wireless after I bought the M4 mac mini. I have always used the wired Apple keyboards, but since Apple wants $200 for a keyboard, I chose the Satechi. Same form and function as the Apple keyboard, but this keyboard has keys that are illuminated. Set up was easy after reading the manual and off I went. One of the negatives about this keyboard, is that the backlit lighting goes off after non-use. Sometime it take pressing a key multiple time for the blacklight to illuminate before you are able to resume typing.Another negative is with average use, the battery dies pretty quickly . Then I had to either recharge the keyboard for 2-3 hours, or I can attach the usbc cable and use as a wired keyboard while it charges.

Great keyboard, except one essential thing is missing...
I've been an avid Mac user for 30+ years and was excited to get a lighted keyboard. This one connected effortlessly to my iMac, works fantastic, but there is NO FINGERPRINT SENSOR KEY! Ugh, have to return it and stick with my Magic Keyboard.

Just one problem - Doesn't activate Fast enough
This is a pretty good keyboard, if it reactivated after sleep faster it would be a great keyboard.I have had it a while and been back and forth with Satechi for a while with emails. Finally, I sent a video showing the delay time from first keystroke until the actual letters showed up that they sent a replacement. Unfortunately the replacement has the same delay. To clarify, after a bit the keyboard goes to sleep. When you touch a key it activates, it's supposed to allow you to immediately start typing but alas, it doesn't. It takes at least four seconds until your typing shows up. Which means a frustrating retyping. If that isn't important to you, then get this keyboard. I will be giving mine away.To update, I went ahead and purchased the Apple magic keyboard. This keyboard does not seem to sleep. It records every keystroke entered even after being away from the computer for days. Just an FYI

Great Mac Alternative
Great looking and wonderful it has USB C instead of Apple's outdated Lightning charge port on its latest Keyboards and Peripherals. Only complaints are that its Function Keys toggle between standard and system functions cannot be locked in Keyboard Setting on Sonoma. Keyboard does not respond. Fn/Exc, however, does work to toggle, so not a big deal. I know many love the backlighted keys, but the keys look too close together as a result making it less aesthetic overall to Apple's Magic Keyboard. While I'm returning the keyboard, I highly recommend it.
