I recently added this chimney cap on my chimney to keep snow and rain out. I was surprised by the build quality - it's thick, hefty, and it feels like it's not going anywhere.It was very easy to install with the 4 set screws. This is an easy DIY item.

I had to use HGLK Stainless Steel Chimney Cover Leg Kit, because the tile flue was below the crown. I had to bend them in a bit for them to fit down in the chimney itself. But before I placed it in the chimney top I put a large amount of crown coat to place it in and give it extra hold. The chimney cap is sturdy and I am sure my client will be happy this year as they won't be dealing with chimney swifts next Spring.Pictures at a later date.

I just wanted to cap the top of my chimney as leaves and debris were coming down. I got quotes from multiple contractors to just cap and they quoted me 3-4x the cost of me just buying this cap and putting it on myself. It fit mine well and the bolts on all 4 sides held after a tropical storm.

After searching for hours for a chimney cap with my flue dimensions, I finally called some of the companies who make them. They all said to buy a 9' x 13' cap. I couldn't figure how it would get 1/2" longer, but they all agreed it should fit. So I ordered this 9 x 13 cap. Fits great! The actual measurements of its base are 9 x 14", so I have no clue as to why they say it is 9 x 13!! It came with 4 long screws which are easily screwed into the corners and tightened against the flue. My only complaint is that they should have sent flat ended bolts instead of sharp screws. The directions show bolts, but they sent screws, so you can't tighten them very much against the clay flue or it would crack the flue. We will see how long it stays in place before it blows off.

Our original chimney cap disappeared during a storm so we replaced it with this one. Attached with 4 screws. (Note: included screws were not long enough so my husband bought 1” screws that worked) It went through 3 hurricanes this season and still holding strong. Bonus: it is keeping the chimney swifts out!

This chimney cover was exactly as described. It replaced an old one that had blown off and gotten bent. It was installed easily and is in place now! Great quality, and it will do the job for years to come.
