This works great helping my husband to sit up in bed and positioning him to get out of bed. Also helps him to stand from recliner. No more straining back.

Indispensable is what my husband says about this item. I purchased it to help me to get him up from a seated position. He's currently dealing with a serious lumbar infection and can't get up alone. It sure makes it much easier on both of us. Something so simple, has saved me from pulling him up and potentially hurting us both.

Like the size and construction of this, just hope next time my husband falls I will now have strength with help of this device to get him at least to a sitting position so he can get up!

Not as easy as I thought. It works fine from a chair, but awkward from the floor.

I recently had surgery on my leg and am temporarily non-weight bearing. This thing has been so awesome at helping me get out of bed. (It's harder than you think popping up on one leg.) I grab one side, my sister grabs the other and all she has to do is act like a counter balance--she doesn't have to pull me up, doesn't bear my weight, just digs in her heels for stability and leans back as I pull up. It takes a ton of strain off both of us. Don't think about it--Just order it!

i ordered this tool after my husband fell down and I had difficulty getting him back up. Since having it, I have fortunately only had to use it once. He could not get out of a lounge chair. I handed him one half of the Lift Assist, and I held the other half. I pulled gently and with the help of the Lift Assist, he easily was able to stand. We are both in our 80s, and with the Lift Assist, we easily solved our problem.

Iv you’ve ever stumbled or fallen, or half your friends have, you need this. My husband and I each had falls at home. Neither one of us could get the other to a good position to help them up. Had to call for help. This device can be used to help someone up from most fallen or even sitting positions, it acts as an extension to reach someone, too. Get two, and keep one in the garden.

We only used it from a low chair but I had my 87 year old mom put her feet right at the edge of the chair and I braced myself and she was able to pull right to a standing position without putting her arms down. Very helpful!
