Pump it Up!
Not much to say other than it's an actuator that turns a valve and triggers the boiler into action. Replaces a defective unit and was very easy to install.

Right product, easy to fit, saved a call-out fee
Fast delivery, good solid product, easy to fit, works perfectly. Much cheaper than the boiler replacement suggested by “a professional” due to repetitive overhead cutouts, when the problem was the old motor failing to drive the valve properly and shut down the system under control of the hot water thermostat. Instead leaving the boiler to lock out and the pump to drive cold water into the tank and cool the water instead of heating it.One replacement valve head, and 20 minutes to ISOLATE THE POWER, remove the old one, manually exercise/lubricate the valve head to ensure it worked easily, then fit and wire in the new head. Power up and test the operation a few times. Job done.Shame these have increased so much in price.

Quality and easy to install
I had one of the 2 actuators in my dual zone central heating system fail outside of the warranty, the motor inside stopped working so it'd never close the heating for the downstairs loop once activated. I ordered this replacement. It took me about 10 minutes to remove and replace the faulty actuator with the new one, nice and easy.

Like many others, I've now had a number of these fail on me. This was now failure number 3, 1 x hot water and 2 x central heating in 5 years.While the reliability of the product is clearly lacking, it does the job and it's fairly easy to replace.
