Quality product, great value for money
Bought this battery grip for my R6mii and so far I have zero regret. £350 for OEM version is a bit too steep. It works fine, like the feedback on the buttons, it’s light and really makes it easier to hold the camera with bigger hands. I owned an original one for a different model and yes, the quality is better but the small difference doesn’t justify a 3x price tag. I can’t comment on its longevity yet.Cons:It’s a bit fiddlier to insert batteries compared to the original. The holding clips feel a bit more fragile maybe but works perfectly fine.I’d highly recommend this grip to anyone. Give it a try!

Excellent value for money
Does exactly the same as the Canon model at less than a third of the price. Fits the same, controls in the same position and the rubber grips feel better. Not slippery, nice to hold. Extremely good price.

Great alternative to the Canon branded grip - with one potentially very big issue
Let me start by saying that I already own two Canon branded battery grips, one for the R6 and one for the R. Both are fantastic and I am so glad I have the battery grips. I needed one more grip for another R6, but I was hesitant to pay over the odds for another one, as one of the grips would only serve as a backup to my main camera - an R6 mii. I thought I would buy the Neewer brand one as at a third of the price with good reviews, it was a chance I was willing to take.I have used the grip for one professional wedding shoot along side my second R6 with Canons battery grip. There are some pros and cons for the cheaper alternative which i shall outline below.Pros:Fits perfectlyButtons and shape is identical to the Canon branded oneThe handgrip is vey grippyCheapCons:Joystick only can move up, down, left or right - not a combination. No Canon logoSome buttons are recessed close to the body.Let me explain further.Firstly, the grip is so good. It outshines the Canon branded one by far. It is made of a rubber texture and is very grippy, unlike the Canon which has more of a knobbly plastic feel (its still good, but less grippy).I am happy that Neewer have maintained the button placement, so it is easy to go from the Canon to the Neewer. However, the MFn and the AF on buttons are recessed slightly, so they are closer to the body. It is not a major issue, but it may be harder to find them if you are looking through the viewfinder -especially the M-Fn button. The joystick is clicky - like the other buttons, but you can only move it in one direction. So it will be much slower if you want to direct your AF point away from where it is sitting. It is not ideal, and can be a decisive point if you need use the joystick quickly to get your AF point where you need it to be. For me, it will be used for weight and battery life for my R6, which will primarily be used for video, so the joystick is not an issue.Summary:If you are a videographer or a still life photographer (or in a controlled environment), then do not waste your money on the Canon branded version. Seriously, get this one 100%.If you are a photographer which needs a responsive joystick, then sadly, this is not for you. The Canon version is much more quicker and accurate when it comes to dialling in your AF point using the joystick.Hope that helps.

A great alternative to Canon
The BG-R10 is over priced. It took a while for the alternatives to catch up but they have done so remarkably well. Neewer are a great low cost brand with some quality products and this is no exception. It is so close to the Canon original that you would be forgiven for thinking it was made in the same factory by the same machines ....Functionally it does exactly what it should, no issues at all and a third of the price of the one with a bit of white text saying 'canon' on it.For the inevitable naysayers who will only by OEM and tell you that you should too after spending so much on the camera. Ignore them, it's the same piece of equipment doing the same job and if you know anything about mechanics and electronics you will know there is no practical difference at all

I like this, although not a canon you'd not know, it's just as good and fraction of the price

Good all round performance
It fits like an original Canon grip, but at a more affordable price. Perfect for me, as a retiree, with not much money to spend.

Good entry level battery grip
I bought this for my Canon R5 as it has the battery life of an old iPhone. Even turning off all settings the R5 is power hungry and needs more than 1 battery a day for photography and more if you are filming. This grip is pretty solid, although a bit plastically in place and feels a bit light weight. However it is easy to fit and allows me to use the camera all day and give a nice grip if I need to turn the camera. The biggest plus is that is nearly half the price of the Canon equivalent !
