Seller great. Movie was sleazy rip-off of Monroe (who was by no means a saint) and not really much for for her fans.

This superb 3 disc set contains a variety of entertaining material.1st - Blonde (2001) our first biopic (of 3) is a mostly made up account of Marilyns life story. Very different than the biopic of2022. Following a childhood with depressing life challenges, young Norma Jean (played exceptionaly well by Zenith Ander) becomes Marilyn Monroe. Adult Marilyn (is played brilliantly by Poppy Montgomery). In some shots you can easily picture the real deal. Keeps your interest thruout. Ann Margret & Kirstie Alley are also featured.2. Marilyn and Me (1991) The story of Robert Slatzer who claimed to not only have been Marilyns on again, off again lover, but was married to her in Mexico!. Did these events really happen?. You the viewer make up your own mind. Which is half the fun of watching this excellent bio-pic.3. Next, the exploitation film Goodye Norma Jean (1976). Misty Rowe (who was voted Miss Mini Skirt of 1971) tries hard to sound and look like Marilyn. The budget does not allow anything to look period. They try and make a story that is set in the 40s to 1963 look other than 1976. It didnt work. Good news for Miss Rowe thou, she was a regular on Hee Haw for 19 years!.Now, the extras. Mike Wallace narrates the half hour tribute to M.M. with rare clips and photos. Made in 1963.Next: The Jack Benny program in an episode titled Trip to Honolulu. Jack dreams he is having a romance with Marilyn aboard a luxury liner. Marilyn is gorgeous and very charming. She plays off Jack brilliantly. Very clean kinescope that looks great.We end this superb set with the 1965 documentary The Legend of Marilyn Monroe. Narrated with great affection by John Huston, we see very rare footage that traces Monroe from birth to early death. John Huston b.t.w. directed Marilyns first and last major film.If you have even a minor interest in Marilyn, this is the set for you.
