Delicious and lovely smelling cup of tea
Never before have I been so excited in anticipation of waiting to receive a box of t-bags. I came across this tea brand whilst on a course at a hotel and immediately fell in love with the taste. Having previously tried Twinings (good) and Whittards today (ok but nothing special), and just now the Newby version of Earl Grey, by far this version has a more stronger (nicer) taste.The smell of bergamot as I opened the external Amazon box (forget the Newby box itself!) was enough to get a few colleagues asking about the lovely scent of this product. As others have pointed out, you can actually see the bergamot oil stain on each t-bag.For once, I'm happy to say its worth paying a higher price for a product like this. Good job my elderly parents can take my box of bland 200+ PG tips off me :-)

Delightful and the best Earl Grey tea
I discovered this tea in Sainsbury’s before they stopped selling it and so I turned to Amazon to get it. It is the best Earl Grey tea I have ever drank. And I mean better than any Earl Grey from specialist tea sellers or quality cafes in National Trust or English Heritage places where high quality tea is key. Newby’s tea has a natural bergamot flavour and not the yucky laboratory version of bergamot in Twinings or other common earl grey teas. It tastes amazing and is what Earl Grey should taste like. Once you drink this you won’t ever want to drink Earl Grey containing laboratory-made bergamot made by other brands like Twinings and most other Earl Grey teas on the market.

Top Earl Grey
Mrs P had a break in a very nice hotel in the summer where I tried this and thought it the nicest Earl Grey I’ve had , since then I’ve been a regular purchaser , ticks all boxes for me

Very nice
Ordered this late in afternoon and was delivered next day, excellent service, have tried many earl grey teas since my favourite changed recipe, this is the only one that even comes close, superb flavour and a lovely smell as soon as you open the packet, I much prefer each teabag individually wrapped, helps keep smell and flavour fresh for each use. One the question of price , yes they are expensive but more than worth the price, I shall defiantly be ordering again , can't fault seller excellent service well done.

Lovely aroma, even before you drink it.
I bought 8 different makes of Earl grey teabags for my husband to taste test, this was a different kind of Christmas present that kept on giving. Each time he tried a new one, we put them in order of preference.This one came out on top (even with more expensive ones) this is now his treat cup each day, as he still mainly drinks twinnings Earl Grey, which allows this one to stay special.

That citris aroma with no bitterness
- Upon unwrapping: wonderfully aromatic- Teabags packing: individually wrapped in foil, the freshness is noticeable- Teabags: good quality bags that leaves no residue in the tea, the string is also of a better length that won't fall into the cup easily- The tea: my personal habit is to leave it for more than five minutes, the tea is strong but clean, very citrus and very tasty with no unpleasant bitterness, very well made and balanced- Overall: the whole thing is of high quality in every aspect and gives a very enjoyable experience from unpacking to drinking, definitely an upgrade from cheaper common brands that makes a bitter murky liquid; a good tea for a good time

Not for me
I love earl grey and enjoy trying different interpretations of the classic flavour. This one is not for me. I take my tea very weak and black, normally I whip the bag out as soon as I can (or pour almost immediately if a loose-leaf version) -but here, I found I needed two bags to get a hint of the citrusy element which was both surprising and disappointing. I wondered if I may simply have got a 'duff' bag, but it didn't change all the way through the box. I wouldn't buy again.

I saw this question the other day and having bought the silken pyramids for years I decided to buy both and the loose tea . I made 3 cups of tea using the loose, tea bag and silken pyramid and brewed them all for exactly the same time. They all tasted virtually identical. The only SLIGHT difference was that the silken pyramid bag made a slightly stronger cup. But if buying the loose leaf I can replicate that by adding more tea. Given the price of the silken pyramids I’m now a convert to the loose tea due to price . So thanks for your question albeit 4 years old!"}},{"@type":"Question","name":"Are these tea bags plastic free?","acceptedAnswer":{"@type":"Answer","text":"Yes"}}]}]}
