Spot on
Easy to use converted my fishing headlamp 6volt battery pack to use 12volt leds lights. Battery now last 60 hrs not 6

Works OK
Very simple to use dc in and dc out controllable via adjuster. Measurements made on 'scope showed very little ripple or noise, not used it with audio so don't know if it would effect sound. Works with temperature sensors and micro PC

Works Great but beware quality control
Product worked as intended, however the component holding the screw to regulate the voltage was not soldered properly on the board and was bend. I assume that that part would have broken off if not fixed. I easily fixed it by reflowing it and pressing on it.

Good but you'll need to modify it...
You'll need to replace the diode and add some ceramic caps... and the stated specs do not add up to the XL6009 specs.Unless you want loads of ripple and heat...

Poor/no output regulation. Capacitors possibly a weak point. Acceptable otherwise.
I found it a little greedy on current at low input voltage for minor loads. But that's the efficiency trade off right there. Moderate loads should be just fine. Weak point may well be the electrolytic capacitors in hot environments. Regulation of output voltage is poor to non existant.

Cheap and works. Perfect!
Used this to provide a +12 voltage as a Mosfet gate driver in a MPPT solar controller circuit design. Worked perfectly and easy to adjust as needed. Very happy with it.

5V min voltage- soft start not long enough for weak sources
Tried this boost converter board for a USB to 12V source. The USB source is limited to 1.5A, and the output demand was 5W. In this case, the load is attached to the converter when it is starting. The converter has a very high inrush, collapses the USB supply into constant current, and gets "stuck". This may be OK for higher input voltages or very low output currents- just mind the large inrush current. Note the 3V minimum input does not agree with the XL6009 datasheet for a 5V minimum input.Found on my power supply I'd need a 2.5A current capability for this converter to start in these conditions which won't work in my project.
