I Live in Australia. I could not find this here.
Great Little Device. I was concerned because I have driven petrol cars for the last 40 years & have just purchased a diesel.

Excellent reminder
I bought this for my brother, who after owning a diesel car for 2 years accidentally put a couple of litres of petrol in his tank before he realised. I found this item on Amazon a bit too late. It took a bit of trial and error to fit it in a workable place, but my brother loves it and says it works well. The same thing won't happen again now, it is mistake that cost him just under £300 to drain and flush his tank and refill again.

Does the job
I run a fleet of cars and despite a sticker on the dash, one on the outside of the fuel flap and one on the inside, people still manage to put petrol into our diesel cars! Since installing these, we've only had one misfuel.OK so it's a little bit embarrassing with it 'bing-bongs' and stern sounding gent warning you to put diesel in but if it saves you a whacking great bill then it's job done. The only thing I would say is that in isolation, they are loud enough but on a noisy petrol station forecourt they can be hard to hear. As i said, we still had one misfuel despite the warning being in place. They stick well on the inside of the flat - none have fallen off so far. They are light activated and seem to work well at night, even under dimmer forecourt lighting.

Does what you expect it to
Cheap and effective. Much cheaper than buying a new motor or even paying 20 Euros to have your fuel tank drained if you are lucky enough to remember you have a diesel car before starting up (speaking from experience).Note - in the winter months if you fill up at a dark petrol station the light sensor in this may not trigger. I thought my one didn't work until recently. Luckily the sight of a large yellow object on your fuel cap is also a help. The voice is annoying. It is meant to be.This won't fit on some cars. It was a challenge to fit it into my C4 Grand Picasso. They do show you the dimensions so go have a look how much space you have.

Initial impressions are good
I am buying my first diesel car and have read a lot of horror stories regarding missfueling. I was going to buy a product such as fuel angel but my car handbook says that changing the fuel cap can interfere with the emissions software? I am therefore hoping that this product will give me the reminder I may need. I expect to be extra careful at first but it is easy to become complacent with time and make a mistake. Product seems robust and works straight out of the bag so my initial impressions are very poitive. Time will tell if it helps me!

Good idea if batteries lasted longer than a week.
Sealed battery only lasted a couple of weeks when fitted.

Think Diesel
This simple device has a self adhesive pad. I stuck this inside the Diesel Fuel Filler Cap Flap. Make sure the fixing position is clean, before fixing.Once the flap is opened & the Photocell is exposed to a light source a programmed voice says quite loudly: 'Remember Diesel'It repeats this twice more, a total of three times. It is a simple device which is thin & still allows the Fuel Flap to be closed.Costs under £5 which includes the postal cost. There are other devices which are fastened around the filling spout by Grub Screws. Thes are getting towards the £40 mark.I can thouroiughly reccommend this Product.Trevor R. Wilkin
