Exceptional for the price!
Been collecting knives for a few years now, and this feels like a knife twice its price. It’s also not too small if that’s a concern, at least not unless you have particularly large hands. The blade is about the same size and the handle is ever so slightly shorter than my current favorite knife, the Ontario RAT II. It feels built at least as well in my opinion, it’s a nice looking knife but I wouldn’t be afraid to beat on it either. It also came in a nice case with a cleaning cloth as well. The action is particularly nice especially for the price. I’ve gone ahead and ordered an Elementum in advance of potential price increases on imported goods because I was just that impressed by the quality of this $30 knife.

CIVIVI Mini Praxis
This is an interesting lower-priced pocket knife. I have been using a LEEK with CPM-D2 steel for some years now. This is lighter, a little thinner in the hand, and the blade shape is completely different and a little thinner as well. This shape lends itself to being used for heavier tasks than the LEEK because it can be rotated and different parts of the blade can be used in the middle of the cut. I used it the other day to process the fabric and cushions on an old couch I am throwing away piece by piece. The blade has the curve so I can use the tip to start the cut and then roll the blade down to the wider part where it feels like it is stronger and finish cutting the cloth. The blade doesn't extend down to the heel of the blade so some adjustment needs to be made to not roll down too far. After cutting up 2 cushions, the fabric inside the back of the couch, and some cloth straps, the blade was still sharp enough to cut open the paper tape on a box that had been shipped to me without tearing the paper tape. It is a lightweight, lower-priced knife that holds an edge for a decent amount of work. Sharpens easily enough with my diamond sharpening stones and, because I am still learning how to sharpen knives I don't feel bad when I have to re-sharpen the edge numerous times to correct dull spots on the blade. Because of the great price it would be worth it to have one of these in the car, the motorcycle, in a junk drawer, on the bench in the garage and one in the tool shed. Use it to cut whatever, and know that it will still be sharp enough for the next time and probably the time after that before needing to be sharpened. And, my hand size is small so it fits perfectly and makes this knife easy to use.

This is your every-day EDC
I own several Civivi knives. I find that their quality-to-pricepoint ratio makes them a good deal. The Mini Praxis is no exception. The fit and finish are outstanding. No flaws and the blade is centered perfectly. No wobble and the blade deploys with ease with a flick of the finger. Solid lockup with the linerlock that releases easily. Handy blade shape with a useful finger choil and a little jimping on the spine if you want to choke up on it a little. Sharp out of the box; sliced through newspaper easily with little pressure. The G10 is slightly grippy, fits the hand well, & no hotspots detected. The deep-carry pocket clip is substantial and would be hard to break. This is an esthetically pleasing knife. Slender, lightweight, functional without an alarming appearance. This is definitely a tier one EDC for me. The only issue I may have is that it's D2 steel. Sure, I could have purchased the fancy limited edition with S35VN but I'm not a fan of carbon fiber. A Mini in 14C28N at $35 or so would really be sweet. You're not going to baton stainless steel or dress out a grizzly with it. What you will do is open boxes, cut string, slice apples, and other daily tasks and you'll do it with ease. Buy it. It's a great value.

Well built budget knife
For the money, it's not a bad budget knife. I'm a big guy at 6' 4" and the mini praxis feels nice in my hand. No sharp angles on the handle to get snagged. It flips open buttery smooth, has descent jimping on the top of the blade and has recessed screws holding the pocket clip on which is nice. The biggest complaint i have is that in less than a year, it's already showing signs of rust on the blade. And yes, I do keep my knives well oiled. So for this to happen, I was a bit surprised to say the least. But then again, it is a budget knife at a budget price. Would I buy another 1? Probably, simply because of the low price and the nice feel.

Great True EDC Knife, Great Value.
An exceptionally good knife for the money. The build quality is excellent. The flipping action is smooth and fast. The liner lock is secure. I chose this knife for the blade steel; for low to moderately priced knifes, D2 steel is hard to find. It has excellent edge retention. My only complaint is that the knife did not arrive super sharp. However, after a few short passes on my Shapton 1000 grit stone (the very best stone for the money, IMO) followed by stropping with green compound produced an edge that was shaving sharp. I expect it to remain sharp for a long time. When it finally dulls, sharpening it again will be no biggie for me. Do yourself a favor and learn freehand sharpening techniques. For the money, I got a knife that is truly suited to EDC. I paid $30, but it is easily worth $50. Don't tell anyone.
