Great price and quality

This is decent quality food that my cichlid hybrid loves. Pellet size is about 5mm, which is perfect for my fish (6 inches now but started eating this at 4 inches tip to tail). I would be happier if corn, wheat and rice weren't in the top five ingredients--I'd like to see spirulina, krill and other non-filler ingredients at the top.

My Oscar loves this
I feed this to my one year old Oscar. And she loves it. She will swim over to the side of the tank anytime I'm anywhere near it hoping I'll drop some in. The pellets are easily swallowed and do float quite nicely. My oscar never leaves them around very long so I have no idea if they would sink eventually. My oscar has really nice bright colors and this food keeps her in top shape. This is one of the main foods I feed my oscar but I do offer her a variety of other foods as well.

The Hikari Cichlid Gold Floating Pellets are a good buy. I have found that Amazon has a very good price for them. I have Amazon Prime, so I have the 2-day Free shipping on my orders.The Hikari Cichlid Gold pellets have always been a favorite by my cichlids. The floating ones stay afloat the whole time until they are gone. They do not cloud my tank water. My fish go after the pellets fairly quickly. The Hikari Cichlid Gold does seem to bring out more color than the regular Hikari Cichlid food.I recommend the Hikari Cichlid Gold because it does a good job with color, my fish love the food, it floats the whole time, it does not cloud my water and the price is very good on Amazon. Hikari is a trusted brand in the aquarium trade.
