I thought I would give these a try having been a great fan of Quail eggs for many years. I was surprised to see a lid that was not adequately sealed and this may have been responsible for the condition of the eggs. However I am more inclined to think that it was the age of the eggs themselves. They were yellowish on the outside and the yolk was very mushy in fact I would go so far as to say slimy. One of the eggs had 4 small pieces in the white showing through the surface, god only knows what these were. After tasting the first egg I felt sick and through the rest in the bin. The shelf life given as being a further 20 months is really quite laughable given the circumstances. I wondered how old they were at the time of my purchase.

I would say that my batch is overcooked, the eggs are incredibly rubbery and although the deliciously smooth taste of the yoke is present, the rubbery texture of the egg white is off putting. I didn't realise either that these are no longer pickled, unlike previous purchases.

Excellent product. Been ordering these for years. I never had a problem with the eggs, its packaging or delivery.
