Resurrected my vintage Evolution MK-149 keyboard
I have a very old midi keyboard from the early 21st century: the Evolution MK-149. I had low expectations that it would work on a modern PC and iPad Pro, but this USB-MDI adaptor works great for both iPad Pro (plugging in via my Dell hub monitor) and plugged directly into a Windows 11 PC.I had to use the tiny switch for it to work on the iPad, but I was really impressed that it saved my old keyboard from the dumpster. The build quality felt lower than the price point would suggest, but I like the design, particularly the arrows for the outbound and inbound MIDI plugs.

A great product from Roland.
Unlike many of those cheap midi leads you often see on other sites, these midi cables made by Roland just simply work.I tested these in Windows 7 Ultimate, and Windows 10 Pro, and they worked a bit better in Win7 - seemed more stable and no loss of notes.I connected a near 20 year-old Yamaha AN1X, loaded Yamaha's ageing editor and it worked first time. I was able to perform real-time changes to the AN1X, as well as upload many custom sounds found on the internet. The playing of notes, via the editor, was instant and I didn't notice any lag at all.The cable connects to any USB port, USB 2.0 or 3.0, but I would stick to 2.0 for 100% compatibility.Overall, a great product at a great price.

Expensive but works flawlessly!
This cable, although expensive, has saved a more expensive roland drumkit. The USB output on my TD17KV had randomly started causing the drumkit to freeze when connected to my PC and the only solution I could find online was using a MIDI to USB cable instead which has totally solved the issue. The cable was quite expensive, but I felt like buying a cheaper cable which would be less durable would just result in having to buy a replacement down the line. The build quality on this feels solid and there is no latency at all which was obviously essential. Definitely recommend spending a little extra for that added durability!

etc etc - Bit the bullet and bought this - Brilliant move! Yeh I know it costs quite a ...
JUST BUY IT - IT JUST WORKS PERFECTLY!!! - Cannot praise this product enough! - had major headaches trying to cut costs through buying other cheap 'generic' interfaces - NO GO! - nothing but problems - with sticking notes - having to constantly edited notes cos they weren't' recorded as I played them - pitch bend / mod wheel just went beserk ! etc etc - Bit the bullet and bought this - Brilliant move! Yeh I know it costs quite a lot more than the cheap stuff- but the reason for that is the fact that IT JUST WORKS PERFECTLY - YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!! Don't keep going through midi headaches - just buy it - you will not regret it....those niggling hassles will disappear and you can get cracking on with creating your musical masterpieces!!! x x x

Works on my Yamaha PSR 340!!
I almost gave up on this product because I thought it would only work on newer, modern keyboards until I decided to read the manual on my old yamaha psr-340 about midi properties and after some tweaking and changing the mode from 'song' to 'style', it actually worked and responded to my windows 7 and 10 laptops. I have used this cable to record music and midi files on sequel and cubase and used the tab mode to connect it to my samung galaxy S7 phone. This cable has also allowed me to use my keyboard as a controller to play sounds from VST instruments like Halion in Sequel and Cubase. Please be aware that some software may have high latency which may cause lagging in playing notes. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS CABLE! Just use this cable with a good reliable software and there shouldn't be any issues.

Awesome, flawless, magical piece of kit!
Absolutely perfect. Finally hooked up my legacy digital piano to 2019 iPad Air. Recorded a number of my new songs on Garageband via Midi. It's awesome. If you want the same set up, you'll need a Camera Connection kit - the one with power delivery. If you ever find no Midi light on the cable and hence no Midi data coming through (and no sound) then flick the mains switch on the wall (where you've got the iPad plugged in) off and then on again. Has always worked for me on the rare occasions this has happened (and only when I'm connecting everything for the session, not while I'm recording/ performing). And of course set the switch on the cable to 'Tablet'. I use a hair clip to move the switch into position.5 stars. Love it. Highly recommended.

Works, unlike the cheaper ones.
Tried a £20 version, for KAWAI CL35 to PC and it did not work correctly, missing/wrong notes etc. Tried all sorts to get it to work, did the same on Mac as well. So sent it backGot this and it worked first time. You get what you pay for!
