Good quality vine eyes at a bargain price.
These are easily as good as the ones in the garden centres which are typically £2 for 6 eyes... the miracle if buying in bulk. For fixing into brick or mortar, use a 7mm masonry bit and a brown plug. Tap the plug flush with a rubber mallet, and you are laughing teacakes. For fixing into timber, I'd recommend drilling a 4mm pilot hole (brad point or HSS bit, no need for a plug), this makes putting them in much easier, and helps get them straight - (provided you drill a straight hole).A handy tip is to slot a strewdriver shaft through the eye, and use that to get better leverage when screwing them in.These came in a nice little thin plastic container, great for storing them as it can be resealed ( and much stronger than a bag).BZP means 'bright zinc plated': they are rust resistant, but they aren't made of stainless steel... this isn't a bad thing, as stainless steel can be a bit brittle and prone to snapping in this type of application.

Ideal for the job
These hooks are better than expected and good value. Used to secure and help train a climbing rose. Would certainly buy again.

Did the job fine and great value.
Bought these to redo a wire mesh for our climbing plants. Really sturdy and just the right length to hold the wires off the fence to allow the plants to become established. Excellent price for the pack of 50, compared with prices elsewhere so would certainly recommend and would happily purchase again.

Sturdy, strong and very good value
These are good, strong and well-galvanised and look like they will last a very long time. Extremely good value for the quantity and quality.

Really useful, sturdy non-rusting vine eyes for the garden.
Very good quality item. I bought twenty of these last year for screwing into my garden fence panels to attach gardening wire for my climbing plants. This year I decided to get rid of the wire as it just looked unsightly and untidy. Also I wasnt sure if the galvanised wire was causing damage to the climbing plants that grew on to it. I decided to try something different and use horizontally fitted garden canes instead for the climbing plants. To my surprise these steel vine eyes were able to be unscrewed easily (especially with using a screwdriver through the eye as a bar to unscrew them from the fence panels. This allowed me to re-arrange them and screw into the fence panels again so that my bamboo garden canes (10-12mm diameter size canes) could slide through the eyes at each end and be mounted like a ladder up the fence for my climbers. This looks so much better that I bought this pack of fifty vine eyes so that I can use them for more of this use.

will do the job very well.
these are incredible value when you consider what is charged for packs of ones and twos in the diy sheds...used 10 of them yesterday and they have done the job really well, make sure that you drill the correct size hole so when winding in it is a tight fit but not too tight.buy with complete confidence they are great value.
