Great little hatchet!
i really like this little hatchet. i was looking for a good carving hatchet but all i found till this one were just too large to really choke up on it. tough little thing truly hardened steel well honed genuine performance. for its size it hits hard when used properly wonderful grip well balanced for an AXE, but light enough to use all day rough carving and hoggin away material. choke up and the "neck" is so thin it it becomes a modified Knife. i used it on seasoned hardwood. i spilt the wood trimmed it down chopped into it and made a simple spoon about 30 min. it is good!(With a longer handle and the same size head with a more robust eye this could be a true work horse , final opinion)

A good hefty hatchet.
Splitting 4" cherry branches for smoking is no problem. Handle shape helps the head hit the wood flat with your wrist at a natural angle.

Hatchet
My Honeybuns newest to! He really likes it! I guess I ordered the right hatchet 🪓! Yay! Great for the smaller jobs around the house, like chopping up kindling or branches. Wood handle is comfortable, but when y’all sweat it gets slippery. Otherwise it’s great quality and a terrific value! Holds an edge with good balance. Easy to use and performs as well as the person using it (Honeybuns, great! Me not so much!). Just try to keep y’all’s hands dry or wear gloves, the only complaint we have! Highly recommended! Thank y’all and God Bless! ✝️🇺🇸❤️

Primitive but sharp and sturdy
Pros: Cool handmade look and feel; sharp from the factory; GREAT full grain leather sheath; Beechwood handle seems durable and attractiveCons: HEAVY; handle way too thick even for my blacksmith hands (spent hours sanding it down to a custom fit)

Fits my small hand
It's size, I use it to cut kindling for our wood stove. I can't use the bigger ones. My husband ordered it for me.

Loose head.
Overall was comfortable and came ready sharp. However only after maybe 2or 3 hits for kindling the head was uncomfortable loose. Returned.

Heavy Duty and High Quality for price.
The size and shape is fantastic for limbing and doing small tasks. The handle is a little thick but fine for me. You could work it and make smaller if needed. The handle is lined up perfectly with the hatchet blade. The only thing I look for which really does not matter on a small tool is the orientation of the grain of the handle. It is at its strongest when running parallel to the blade. This one is not but again, it’s a personal thing.Looking at stock photos, the so called forge marks are identical to mine. I really doubt it is hand forged, but I was happy enough to order more for gifts if that says something. Well worth the price in my opinion.

It’s a hatchet
Upon sharpening it for the first time I realized the shiny part is painted on took me 20 min to polish the edge I at first gave it 3 stars but dropped it to 1 after 2 months of owning it the handle needed sanding to smooth out the head was covered in some sticky oil and the edge was painted on shiny doesn’t take much effort to actually make it functional just know if you buy it to actually use it as a camp ax sand the paint off the edge and put a real edge on it and it will work fine but out of the box dull and looks cool but not quality
