Beautiful hair colour with a reddish touch
I have been using this product for dying my hair and it's amazing! Originally I have dark brown hair and this makes my hair look fantastic with a bit of reddish touch. I've received so many compliments about my hair since using this product. It does give my grey hair an orange finish, but for me it looks like having highlights, so it actually makes my hair look even better. My friend, who mostly has grey hair, she's using this product, but after this she's putting some indigo on her hair, otherwise her hair would be only orange. With the extra indigo her hair is dark with a beautiful bluish touch.I love this product because it's natural, but it does take more time to dye my hair with this, than with a general hair dying product. I do think it's worth the extra effort though.

Great quality henna
The henna worked much better than I expected, the colour was lovely and rich, and it covered my greys really well, they came out a more coppery colour whereas my brown hair turned auburn. I added warm water to make a yogurt-like consistency, added a little distilled vinegar to the mix and waited about 20 mins before applying. I left the dye on for about 2.5 hours. It takes a few days for the colour to develop fully, it deepened over a few days and appeared much richer.

High quality Henna that gives beautiful results
I wanted to switch from using chemical red hair dye to a kinder way to colour my hair; having done some research and read the reviews for this product I ordered it. Arrived very quickly with very comprehensive and easy to follow instructions which also recommends a great website where you can download a free 16 pg pdf download all about henna which I found very useful. I am delighted with the way my hair has turned out. I had approx 1cm root growth of dark blonde and the rest of my was a faded bright red. I did a strand test which came out great but I was a bit apprehensive that there might be a mismatch between the roots and the chemically coloured hair. I need not have worried, the coverage is perfectly even and my hair is soft and shiny. Be mindful that everyone's hair is different but I wanted to state this because if anyone has chemically coloured hair and is looking to switch, give it a go providing you follow the instructions and do a bit of research. I had also heard from various sites that henna can slightly relax the curl in hair. Well let me reassure you that this did not happen to my naturally curly hair. I will definitely be purchasing from this seller again. This is a high quality product and worth every penny.

but I found this far superior and will be using this from now on
I was using Lush Henna in Rouge but wasn't experiencing that much tint to my hair and my hair felt dry and brittle after each use. I thought this might be down to my dark brown and very curly hair, but after using this Henna just once I was receiving so many compliments on the colour and condition of my hair. My hair is glossy with a lovely tone of Auburn and soft and conditioned. I mixed the henna with half water and half fresh squeezed lemon juice and left it on for roughly three hours after letting it sit in an airing cupboard for dye release as per included instructions. My hair is just below shoulder length and one sachet was enough. I think you would need more for longer hair than mine. Lush Henna was cheaper in that one purchase equaled three applications for the same length of hair, but I found this far superior and will be using this from now on.

Works for me
I use this as a first step to cover my greys. I mix with water and apply to my hair for 1hour and it turns my white hair in a hilarious halloweeny bright orange and then I move to step 2 and use indigo to turn my greys into my normal colour (medium brown). I think there are different ways to apply it so you get different shades (some people use lemon juice or leave it overnight, some wrap their head to keep it warm etc). For me as it is only part 1 of a 2 stage process the orange is ok as it provides a good base for indigo to work on (indigo will not cover white hair) and I get good grey cover without damaging my hair or my skin.I have sensitive hair and scalp and never had any issues but everyone is different so do a test to make sure.

Not sure if it worked
I purchased the indigo powder hoping it would help me tackle my stubborn whites. I mixed it with dark brown henna from the same brand and followed the mixing instructions precisely. I left it on all night. My pigmented hair had a nice dark sheen to it but I don’t think the whites were dyed any darker than when I used only henna in previous dyeing sessions. My natural colour is peculiar - terribly brown with red undertones when under the sun but indoors it looks black. This explains why my hair looks like two different colours in the photos. You can see my white hair has been slightly coloured which helps it blend better with the rest of my hair but it hasn’t been fully dyed.My conclusion is that I’m not sure if adding indigo to my henna helped but I’ll keep trying and update this review if there are any changes. It is possible that at the very least, the indigo will help the colour to last longer. Some people have mentioned henna drying out their hair. For me, this is not a problem. I don’t think the henna actually dries the hair internally, I think it is the residual powder that makes the hair feel dry. When the henna dries it does feel caked on one’s head and hair and even after an initial wash, but a good hair conditioner can easily solve that.
