Self-watering greenhouse
I've had a header tank in the garden for about 15 years since we had a combi boiler fitted. BRAINSTORM! STEP 1: I put it in the greenhouse and cobbled a pipe from an outside tap to fill it and auto shut off with the ball valve. STEP 2: Connect the pipe from a 4/7mm micro irrigation kit to the fountain pump outlet (a snug fit) and run the pipe round the greenhouse then back to the header tank. Fit drippers where needed. Put the pump in the tank and connect the solar panel.Voila. A low pressure self-watering system that only waters when the sun shines. The plants are watered and if the sun is strong the excess water returns to the tank. The tap connection keeps the tank filled. This pump is not very powerful but is ideal for my Heath Robinson device. Not your normal water feature but I'm delighted with my purchase.

Great
Great worked just how i wanted it to and dont have to draw a wire all the way to a source of power. The solar panel is small so if a branch or something blocks the sunlight then it stops pumping but when it does pump the water it does pump it quite high so ideal for a fountain or pond feature. Great idea to put a solar panel on a pump but it don't collect and store charge so as soon as sunlight is lost it stops

Great little bit of kit
Was looking for a solar powered fountain and this seemed to fit the bill. The lead for the solar panel could do with being longer so we could place higher up to catch the sun better. We had to use zip ties to fix it to the top of the bush. The foundation is very powerful and high when the sun is fully on it (no clouds to get it full power). It needed to sit on a coffee jar submerged in the pond so the pump was just below the surface. It’s a lovely water feature which we can hear from inside the house when it gets going.

Useless item
Exited to receive item and set it up yesterday, worked well for a couple of hours then gradually died . It was less than a trickle this morning and clearly struggling. An hour later nothing . Checked for any debris but it was on test in clean water so nothing found, could blow through it easily . Checked solar panel which was giving 7.8v in afternoon sun , so bad pump ? Water leakage into pump would be my guess but as a sealed unit can’t get in to see. Waste of time and money then , nothing good to say about, it less than a day old !

Very little pump
This product is east to set up. Great for a doractive spray and bird bath. Unfortunately not powerful enough for the job I need. Solar panel does need to be in direct sunlight

Great little pump
I was sceptical when it arrived as it is very small. However it runs beautifully and is active even on cloudy days. The water spout is very high in full sun so I did what some other reviewers did and widened the holes to reduce the flow as I only want a trickle as even in a 60cm dish there is splashing. I only have one gripe and that is that there is no way of attaching the solar panel to anything. There is no stick to put it in the ground or hook to attach it higher up. I ended up with an untidy arrangement of wire to attatch it to a fence post and I am not sure it will survive a high wind.

Only works with DIRECT sunlight
Works great with direct sunlight, but when a cloud passes by it spits and sputters. I was hoping it held a charge to carry on but guess not.
