Perfect
After faffing around with gooseneck and tripod stands, I went for the simplest option and this 2-piece stand turned out to be the ideal solution. A heavy MV7 mic needs a stable base and this SAMD5 is really solid - no wobble at all - yet isn't so big it gets in the way. The neck screws in and is the perfect height for the mic at a slight tilt (about 30-45 degrees off vertical) to sit at chin level, directed at mouth. Didn't need any adapter bolts. Delighted with it. Should last years.

Perfect for Rode
I don't usually read reviews that start with "I just received this and it's really good" because I like to hear about the experience of someone with knowledge of the product who has tested it over a long period. But this is a really simple and solid piece of equipment, so there is nothing to go wrong with prolonged use. I was delighted with my Rode USB microphone's performance, but disappointed with the flimsy plastic tripod stand that kept tipping over -- and i only got that yesterday. By contrast, this stand is heavy, it doesn't move, and the heavy microphone stays put. The stand has a soft ring underneath that protects my desk without having to put a cloth underneath, and, just as important, the ring grips the desk so that the base of the stand does not slide. I am grabbing the stand now and trying to move it sideways. It doesn't budge at all. I have to lift it. Don't be put off by the low price: this is a really good stand that feels like it will last a lifetime. If it didn't, it wouldn't break the bank to replace it, but I don't expect to have to do that. This is a totally unsolicited review; I am not getting any reward of any kind. I am grateful for a product that does what it says on the box and doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Solid, good price, does the job.
Hmm. So, I have a R0DE NT mini USB mic for voip gaming. The r0de mic picks up so much that I reduced the input, but needed the mic to be close to my mouth. I bought the R0DE mic stand, which is nice and premium, great quality, love it.. except its too tall and blocks my view. So I searched specifically for a 5" mic stand and found this one. It is sturdy, solid, fits well and is the perfect height. It really is everything I need. It's just that compared to the r0de mic stand, it feels far less than premium.

squat, wide and heavy - but enough about rhonda....
For £11 this really is a bargain as its exceedingly heavy, very well constructed and a simple "buy once and use forever" type of device. I purchased it in order to use in conjunction with the rather spiffing and pocket money priced Neewer Cardioid Condenser Mic (£19 on Amazon, ASIN B017SJU2DK - Check out my review) and it works perfectly. At around 6 inches wide and the same high its the perfect size for desktop use and weighing in at 1.5kilos means it won't be sliding anywhere and will keep your microphone right were you want it to be.Its really wide compared to my microphone and as such it ensures that the shock mount holds the mic in securely and is fixed very well which is great for peace of mind as some of the other stands I'd looked at appeared quite a bit thinner/flimsier and were, bizarrely, more money than this.Overall a great quality product at a bargain price so if you're looking for a mic stand then scoop this one up.If you found my words handy please show some love and click YES below and I'd be happy to answer any questions.

Simple, heavy and strong... Good enough I bought 2
These are as simple as it gets, and if that's what you need it's a great thing. The base is squat, solid and heavy so it stays where its placed and can balance a good weight. Has a rubber/isolation ring on the bottom that will decouple a little bit noise. The shaft is on the short side but this was a plus point for me as helps keep everything weighted down. I bought a second and fitted, with an adaptor, a solid ball head quick mount, Lumix GH5 and a heavy lens that sits solid on my desk for web conferencing. Holding mic, shock mount and cables is doddle in comparison.

Feels sturdy and holds my microphone well.
My previous Condensor Microphone was tall so I didn't need a stand, but the Neumann TLM 103 is quite a short thing, so to protect and elevate it, this stand was perfect. It's just a heavy piece of metal with a screw that's compatible with most devices, certainly can't see it toppling over.

Perfect
I could not see in the description whether it would fit this microphone, but I thought it just must. I was right :)

Does The Job
I'm not sure what I expected from this product, but it is basically a weight with a threaded bar for £15. The good point is that it appears to hold my Rode NT1 (with shock mount and pop shield), which is great, but it's pretty basic and cheaply made. The reason for the 3 stars was due to the internal threaded part of the weight and the external parts of the bar, which are very poorly finished and needed repeated lining up when putting it together and mounting my microphone. Basically the threads are badly aligned as well as the metal being sharp and soft (easily damaged). I'm not sure I believe the authenticity of other reviews or I just got a poorly made one!
