My husband gave me this book for Christmas. At age 80 I became a football fan, able to discuss the game and enjoy my team's triumphs.

This is exactly what I wanted and hoped for. Just wanted something straightforward and covered all the starting basics. Quality is good, pictures are super helpful, content is well written and concise. Honestly great for anyone getting started. Thanks to the authors for creating this!

I am not a big reader but wanted to learn more about football! This was perfect!!!

I really didn't care for sports while growing up and never, in my 62 years, followed football. For some reason, this past fall (2023) I decided to watch playoffs with my husband and felt I really wanted to understand what was going on, especially for THE DAY (Superbowl).This book is so well written! I had a lot of discussions throughout the read with my husband for clarifications or just because, and every single point made in the book is spot on. In fact my husband even learned a term or two. He's very excited that I can now watch a game with him, enjoy watching and know what the heck I'm watching!Now...if I could just get him to go dancing with me!

My Grandson loves to read, this book isa subject he loves. Great present for him.

Nice to read it as an introduction. Fairly well explained to a beginner. Not an in-depth explanation, but wasn't expected.

I learned football by watching it on TV. But had a lot of questions still. I read this book in one day, it was so good. You can read the first chapter and have a understanding of the game but the rest of the book goes into more detail. If you have played the game for real than this book will not be of use. If you didn't than this is fantastic. Anyone who wants to understand why so many people watch the games, read this book. There is so much more to it then I realized. Action chess game using real players on a field not on a board with a whole lot of people rooting for them.
