Quiet and Effective, but Best for Light Use
The Aqueon QuietFlow 10 Internal Filter is a solid choice for smaller tanks up to 10 gallons. I’ve been using it for a few weeks in a 2 gallon tank with one betta fish, and overall, it performs well in terms of water clarity and quiet operation. It’s very easy to install—just submerge it and plug it in. The suction cups keep it firmly in place on the tank wall, which is a nice touch for smaller setups where space is limited. The best feature is definitely how quiet it runs. I can barely hear. It's perfect for a bedroom or office where you don't want the hum of a filter to be distracting. The included filter cartridge is easy to replace, and it’s pretty efficient at keeping the water clean. If you’re keeping a simple, lightly stocked tank and want a reliable, quiet filter, this will do the job.

Great pump for the price.
I purchased this pump to filter the water in my toad tank, and it has exceeded my expectations. Not only is it super quiet, but it also cleared up the water incredibly well in a very short time. I decided to add some minnows to the tank, and the pump handles the water quality perfectly, keeping it clean and fresh for both the toads and the minnows. It’s been a fantastic addition to my setup, and both the toads and minnows seem very happy with the clean water!

Loud but works
It works, but after a week it became loud. Loud enough I can hear it from the next room. I feel bad for our fish having to deal with that much noise. Also, our fantail goldfish got stuck to it and died. Maybe because the fantails can't swim as strongly? Our other standard goldfish seems fine around it. Definitely keeps a 10gal tank clean for 2 goldfish (1 now). But I'll be looking for a quieter filter asap.

Works well
The media could not be loaded. I have a 55 gallon tank filled with 10 gallons of water and this does a decent job of filtering all of the water mostly clear, but I had to recently customize it and took out most of the inside pieces and made my own filter with activated carbon because the filter it comes with gets filthy within a day and this doesn't come with any replacements so it would be way too expensive to buy replacement filters for this. I had it in a 10 gallon tank with water filled up about a 1/4 of the way and it kept it crystal clear, but again the filter was dirty within a couple of days and needed to be replaced. The tank only has 4 tadpoles. This would be good in a small tank but I don't think the cost of having to buy replacement filters every 2 weeks makes this worth buying. I will probably upgrade to something better soon.UPDATE:About a week after this review I decided to customize my Aqueon 10 gallon filter a little bit. I used the micron sponge that came with it and evenly placed it above the filter's motor and got rid of the filter cartridge that came with it because buying replacements was out of the question, and soon I will buy re-usable cartridge bags. The way I got my water to be crystal clear with only weekly cleanings is by buying API Ammo-Carb and filled the Aqueon filter with 1/2 a cup as the directions say. Now that I've customized the filter I love it so much.It keeps my water clear and has enough flow to keep my water moving. Every 1-2 weeks I rinse the filter because of the waste that it sucks up and causes the flow of water to becomes a little less. Rinsing it fixes the problem immediately.I replace the API Ammo-Carb on a tri-weekly basis as stated on the directions. I have begun to really like this filter because of the large area that it has inside the canister. It's easy to customize and so far I don't see a need to buy a new filter any time soon after adding the API Ammo-Carb.As long as you're willing to put a bit of work into customizing the filter for your needs, for the price you can not beat this and I gladly give it 5 stars.

Quiet
After reading other reviews, I was skeptical about purchasing this filter. I was looking for a quiet internal filter and this is one of the few you can find. Majority of the filter of this size is external, so this is one of the major advantage of this filter.Installation is easy and simple to understand. I used the suction cups for the filter because the hooks it came with is wide. It probably will fit better with a rimmed tank. I have a rimless tank and I want to minimize the gap at the back, so i choose to use the suction cups. The filter was very slightly louder than my old one at the beginning (my old one makes no noise, but need one to cycle more water) , but after running it for a few hours, it is extremely quiet. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for an internal filter

Doesn't work
The filter would not work, made sound but no filtration, no water flow.

So, so, so quiet. Quietest one yet
Admittedly I've only had this for a few days, but it is the absolute quietest power filter I have ever owned. The only thing quieter is a sponge filter with a small air pump. This filter was easy to put together and put in the filter right out of the box. I used the hanging hooks instead of the suction cups to put in my aquarium, so I can't make any statements about their quality. It is fairly large for an internal filter, but thus far it seems to be putting that extra size to good use. It's definitely cleaning my tank water. I'm just gobsmacked at how nice and quiet this is.
