Keeps mosquitos away!
Our massive deck was built on top of an old existing patio with about 18inches of space between the two, and leaves and debris get underneath it with no real way of cleaning it out unless we want to dismantle the deck boards to access the underneath. It's a real breeding ground for mosquitos, rabbits, you name it under there, as it never gets sunlight except what peeks through the deck boards, and as a result I imagine it's pretty wet under there. The first summer in that house I couldn't sit outside because I would get eaten alive. Discovered these babies and now I get to enjoy my backyard oasis! My only issue with them is I forget to turn it off and as a result I use up the butane pretty quickly.

Works but pricey
So far, this has been the only mosquito repellent that has actually worked. I am using 2 of the Thermacell devices on my balcony. of course, this makes this a quite pricey solution, but still better than getting eaten alive by those darn buggers.

Thermacell is the best!
We use our Thermacell unit on our screen porch and inside the house itself whenever biting midges (no-seums) are out and about. It's safe and effective.
