Brilliant wee unit, worth the money!
This is a review based on initial usage, got the unit yesterday, let it sit upright for a day as instructed, and using it in our 2nd living room/office. Set up pretty easy, tube thing out the back is fiddly but a necessary evil. Within the first 20 mins of having the ac on the room cooled by 2 degrees Celsius. I think thats pretty good, I’m in a medium size room, our second living room/office. It definitely does have a good impact on the temp of the room. If you’re standing near the fan its really nice and cool. It is noisy but that’s to be expected. My blow fan is noisy and does nothing even close to this baby. It is an expensive outlay but we need a way to cool our babies room at night and i think this will do the trick. Didnt bother with window attachment, doesnt fit our window/sliding door, to me it doesnt seem necessary. Close the curtains, point the tube outside and it works fine. We plan to use in different rooms at different times cant be setting that up every time i wanna move it.Definitely recommend this unit it does the trick.

Very good machine thats does what it says it does
HAd this now for a couple of weeks and so far it does exactly what i needed it to. cool my rooms quickly!I dont have it running in the night (its a little loud for me to be able to sleep with it) but i run it for a couple of hours before i go to bed and it reduces the temp of my big master bedroom to what i need it to be. It reduced the temp from 31c to 23 in this time (which is also a loft converstion which get super hot) and because i go to bed after sunset it tends to stay there or there abouts. The fan has two speeds and is very powerful so you can feel it from several metres away.Really recommend as it seems great value for the price point. The construction is very sturdy, doesnt feel cheap at all and has a very good weight about it.Happily recommended

Does the job well, very pleased
This air con unit is very effective for cooling the room. It reduces the room temp (4x6m with door closed) by ~5 degrees in 45 mins. Some minor points are that it is loud so I would not try to sleep through it unless in a heatwave, and it gives off a damp smell. It is a big (but not ugly) unit and the hose is very wide, it could do with being a little longer or more flexible, but it collapses together neatly. The window cover is only made for the windows that slide down so I don't see it being much use to many. Overall I am very pleased with this unit, as it does a good job of quickly cooling the room to a good sleeping temperature. The next heatwave will be much more bearable. I have recommended to a friend.Additionally the Avalla customer service seems good. I had a delivery issue which resolved itself but the response in the meantime was fast and reassuring.

Avalla S-150 AirCon really delivers!
The media could not be loaded. LOVE this compact aircon unit! Hesitated for years about getting one and always had a reason not to. Noise, environmental issues, energy bills...I do my bit for the environment but let's face it: hot summers are probably here to stay and if I use this unit for 20 days a year then it's a good investment.High-and-low mode is offered and I find low mode enough most of the time. Night-mode dims the lights and reduces compressor use but you can still adjust the temperature. (it's not much less noise but a bit)Noise level: any unit promising no noise is a scam, as any aircon compressor will create noise while giving you cold air. When you read 56DB or 64DB in the description this was measured in a controlled factory environment so I wouldn't put too much trust in that. I have the latest Dyson fan (not aircon) which on highest setting (10) is only a fraction quieter than this unit. I am noise sensitive and sleep with earplugs, so the white-noise-hum doesn't bother me but I keep the unit OUTSIDE my bedroom with the cold air flowing in through the opened door. You can see from my attached video that my home is open plan and during the day we keep the unit halfway up the stairs. This means it's far from my Tv & sound system in the living room below so I hear the Tv without turning up the sound.People often complain that they turned the temperature down to 16 Degrees and nothing happens. I find keeping it on 23 all the time works best and gives a steady stream of cold air, but on lower settings the unit works too hard and may overheat. My living room/kitchen (6 x 4 m) took about 30 minutes for the temperature to be comfortably fresh but not American-style-freezer-cold, which I wouldn't want anyway.I can't comment on energy consumption yet but as I only use the unit 4-6 hours on hot days/nights I expect it won't break the bank. I'll update this review if that changes.I compared noise levels to DeLonghi and Mitsubishi but for the huge price difference I would buy this unit every time. I notice that theS-150 is out of stock so if it was me choosing now I'd go for the 200 or 220.Finally: LEAVE THE UNIT UNPACKED FOR 24 HOURS before you use it. I know you'll be tempted to switch it on straight away but don't.Hope this review helps.

Great AC unit, even better customer service!
So first things first - and most importantly - this does a great job of cooling a room. Whilst it isn't the hottest at the moment (mid May in the east of England) I have tested the unit, and it does a tremendous job of cooling a room in quick time (3mx3m conservatory significantly cooler within 5 minutes with the sun beaming down). As others seem to have experienced, one of my castor wheels was damaged on delivery. I contacted Avalla customer services who within 30 minutes have already responded to say a new wheel is on the way, which is exemplary and a perfect example of decent customer service. The culprit for this is the polystyrene at the bottom of the box, I'd say it isn't thick enough but I don't want to encourage them to use more polystyrene packaging. Perhaps some thick cardboard tube inserts in the circular indents would stop the damages...My only negative on first impression is the unit isn't quiet. Whilst not quiet, the noise is consistent, so I can't envisage any issues with nodding off, it's no worse than running a fan full blast in your bedroom.I'm actually looking forward to a nice hot summer, knowing that I can pop this unit in the corner of the bedroom and have a decent night's sleep without melting!
