Works Great, Very Easy to Install!
Purchased during Amazon Prime Day in July and received a Great Deal. I am receiving my internet over a StarLink device and installed this to extend the signal to another building about 350 feet away. My first attempt was set up at a location about 30 feet lower in elevation and through a heavily wooded area. Result was no signal. I then moved it about 50 feet away from the StarLink router but at the same elevation as the out building and had a very good line of sight to the out building. Still about 350 feet away however this time the signal was excellent. I can use my cell phone as well as stream movies over my Smart TV without an issue at the out building location. The access point device was also mounted on a tree during a monumental rain storm - 7 inches of driving rain over a 2 day period and the waterproof seal held with no sign of a leak. For my application, I could not be happier with this device!

Not weatherproof
I bought my first Wavlink AC120 back in October 2023. After some initial struggles to get it working as a repeater (instructions are not overly clear) it worked pretty well most of the time. It would not always come back up after a power glitch, (I live in a rural area where power dropouts are not unusual) but each time a power cycle would get it back up.Shortly after the monsoon rains started (Arizona) we got a very hard rain and the Wavlink stopped working. When I looked at the indicator lights, the power light was flashing about every 2 seconds on both the Wavlink, and the POE adapter. I had a feeling that water had gotten inside, So I unplugged it until I had time to troubleshoot. I tried powering it back on once a day for the next couple of days with no success. Finally, after sitting in the sun for four days, it powered back on. At that point, it would show the two SSIDs, but would not connect to my router Wi-Fi. I tried resetting the Wavlink back to the factory settings, and setting it up again, but got the same result.I noticed that one of the antenna connectors on top of the unit was loose, and thought it was perhaps the source of the water infiltration. I chalked it up to bad luck, and ordered a new one.Having learned from the first time, I had an easier time setting up the new Wavlink. The only issue was that they had made updates to the phone app, and I had to rediscover how to get to the setup page I needed. Before I installed it outside, I made sure that the antenna jacks on the top of the unit were tight. As "luck" would have it, a few days after I installed the Wavlink outside, we had another major monsoon and the new Wavlink stopped working with the identical failure as the first one. One failure could be an anomaly, but two are a definite trend. I'm not sure how the rain is getting inside. It looks like it is well sealed, but clearly there is a problem with rain penetration in a hard downpour. I have the unit mounted on a mast that sticks above my roof, so it is exposed to rain and wind, but it is not in a place that will get water runoff.Maybe I just happened to get two units with a problem, but I'm really questioning the IP65 rating.

Honest opinion (IT Background)
So wanted to leave an honest review on this product. I have about 20 years experience and IT.I purchased this for 19 acre vacation home recently purchased. This product is great and exceeded my expectations!I’ll start with the not so good.1. It seemed like when you don’t have the direct line of sight for example If I walk to the other side of the house where the AP is not pointing I lose signal. (to solve this, I purchased two, But it really depends on how you position it. You can get away with one.)2. Even when you get signal bandwidth is significantly reduced, even when you’re not far.3. App is really simple once you get connected but connecting could be better. Web management works better. The goodSurpassed my expectations! I placed this to see how far down my property I could get. I walked a quarter of mile out in a straight line, and my Wi-Fi only dropped to one bar! So I could go much further but this was enough to cover my 19 acres. Very impressive to say the least.1. Quarter mile out and Speed were good enough to make a FaceTime call with my wife with no issues at all. I wanted this in order to install Wi-Fi cameras around the property and this is Clearly, more than enough to get the job done. Very happy with this product2. Install was very easy.

Ease of Setup - with Many Options
I use this product to Reproduce wifi for camera systems I install. I has 2g & 5G as an option....even if you are only receiving 2g, it will put out both. This unit is very sensitive(Picks up wifi from a far distance)the option I chose is a "REPEATER", so it uses the incoming wifi name and adds a "EXTENDED" on the back. It will use dhcp to gen a new IP scheme or I use the "Bind" option, to keep the ip network the same for my camera pc can see the all the wifi cameras as same network. Mounts and uses POE power which it supplies both poe injector & cat5/6 cable with power cable for the poe injector. I was able to program the extender by connecting to the default wifi it generated then go to it's HTML (waplogin.link) page. the led lights on the side tell you what is happening with the extender (rebooting, connected, etc) Great value for the money...
